Now for the next Azumanga entry.
Parent Teacher Conference
Not always a fun time for the student ^_^
Never, to my knowledge. :)
Writer's note: This was done in inspiration for Larry F's 100'th weekly
update letter for the homepage he's graciously letting me use. In
keeping
in
the Azumanga manga vein, this will be short and almost pointless. ^_^
You forgot 'amusing' ^_^
That's in the eye of the beholder, as always.

Tomo Takino was not a happy girl as she found herself pulled/dragged
through
And here I thought we were going to find out that Chiyo's father was in
fact
a large cat ^_^
No. I still need to watch the last 7 eps, though, so it might yet be
revealed. I'm savoring them, like a fine wine.
the hallowed halls of her school by her father, who, in the vein of all
fathers of teenagers, was being exceptionally unreasonable.
All teenagers can sympathize ^_^
Nod, nod.
"You should have let me take French. I'm fluent in that."
"Portraying Joan of Arc in a school play does not make automatically
make
you fluent in French!" her father shouted.
Hehehe
I picture that as a conclusion she would jump to easily. She tends to jump
to conclusions.
Tomo smacked her hand into her fist. "Oh, right. Well, at least I'm a
brilliant military tactician."
Heh
class
Yup, the last resort for all students: blaming the teacher.
Well, in this case, she might not be in the wrong exactly.
representative to vice-rep. If that doesn't show how poor her judgment
is,
nothing will."
Yeah, for having her as class representative in the first place ^_^
Probably the only one that volunteered.
Tomo remained silent as her father knocked on the door.
A cheery, "Come in!" came in response.
Suggest:
"Come in!" a cheerful voice responded.
Okay.
my beauty, as most men are, but do keep in mind that you're a married
man
and need to control yourself, as difficult as that may be. We wouldn't
want
poor Tomo caught in anything scandalous, now would we?" She gave a
hearty
laugh.
Hehehe
Reminds me of Yukari's introduction in the first ep.
I thought it would be similar. She does tend to have a high opinion of
herself.
After a moment of watching the woman laugh uproariously, Tomo's father
fell
to his knees before his daughter and bowed until his forehead touched

floor. "Please forgive me for doubting you!"
Yukari was left scratching her head in bewilderment as Tomo slapped her
father on the back and berated him with a mantra of "I told you so"s.
'I told you so's.
She's actually saying it, so I think it needs the double quotes.
A short while later:
Tomo's father: Okay, so I was wrong about your English teacher. But that
still doesn't explain your other grades. We'll first start with your
Classics teacher.
(Tomo tries hard not to laugh as they walk in)
Kimura: (Slamming his hand against the table) Your daughter has
disappointed
me in the way she doesn't listen to what I ask of her!
Tomo's father: My apolgies on behalf of my daughter's shortcomings. What
is
it that Tomo has failed to do?
Kimura: Bloomers!
Tomo's father: ....
Kimura: No matter how much I insist, she fails to wear bloomers for class!
Tomo: (As her father is once again prostrating before her) Maybe we should
just cancel the rest of the meetings.

Hehehehe. Yeah. I can see that too. Nice add on, if I wanted to make it
longer.
Yep, that's all there was to it. ^_^
It would fit into the Azumanga 4-panel manga.
Yep, I thought it would, with a little trimming at the start since 4 panals
is next to nothing.
Gave me a good laugh. Nice job!
Good. Glad you like. The longer one is not quite as good, I think, but
hopefully it will still be enjoyable.
