Believe it or not, this has nothing to do with ACen. Rather, my new web
landlord, Larry F, is celebrating his 100th anniversary (well, 100th
newsletter, anway), and so to celebrate, proposed a contest for 100-word
fics. It is in this spirit, therefore, that I offer congratulations to
Larry, and toast him with a bottle of...

I shall do the same as well (except longer). But we'll do this before I send
that out.

TABASCO
an Azumanga Daioh drabble (100-word fic) by Ukyou Kuonji

wondered what drabble meant.

==========

"Oi, Yomi! What's that you've got on your tray?"

Tomo, almost certainly

"This? Oh, my cousin in America sent me --"

It's always those darn gaijin. :)

"Ta-ba-su-ko? Doesn't this stuff make mosquitos explode?"

 "I... wouldn't know."

"Wow, Yomi-san... you really like spicy stuff!"

"Ha! It's not that spicy! I could pour three shakes onto my croquette
and I wouldn't sweat!"

 "Oh, really? Try four shakes."

 "Five shakes!"

Hmm. Might want to make some detail for it to be clear who the others
goading her on are.

 "Six."

 "Seven!"

 "... Eat that croquette."

"Oh ho! What have we here? Louisiana Tabasco? Tres bien... I
ga-ron-tee it!"

Heh. Now this we can figure is Yukari. French, she might know, but not
German :)

 "Yukari-sensei... don't chug that!"

Heh. She just might, even.

***

 "Kurosawa-sensei... isn't this English class?"

"Well, Yukari-chan asked me to tell you... class is cancelled this
afternoon."

 "OHHHH..."

And thus we know the end result.

Cute and brief, just like the manga. Very nice.
