If you're coming to Anime Central and even remotely 
interested in fanficion, be sure to mark your calendar with 
these two events:

Friday evening (May 16) will see the return of the 
annual "Fanfic Dinner", a gathering of any and all fanfic 
writers and their families, roommates, friends, guests, 
significant others (whatever). As is the tradition, dinner 
will be at a local Denny's restaurant(1). If you'd like to 
join in, meet in the hotel main floor lobby to the *left* of 
the front doors at 6pm. Rides to the restaurant will be 
sorted out then (drivers are especially welcome)

Saturday afternoon (May 17) is the Anime Central Fanfiction 
Panel, currently scheduled for 2 - 4 pm. Be sure to check 
your convention schedule for location and any last minute 
rescheduling.

This year's panelists, arriving from far and wide with an 
equally far and wide range of writing experience, include 
John "Bailesu" Biles (from Kansas), Jeanne Hedge (from 
greater Chicagoland), Bert VanVliet (from Ontario, Canada), 
and making their Anime Central fanfic panel debuts "Cat Who" 
(from Georgia) and Roehl Sybing (from New York). There will 
also be a special guest appearance by Pearson "Doc" Mui, and 
invaluable technical support has been provided by "Ukyou 
Kuonji" (both also from greater Chicagoland).
