Whee! No fanfic is complete without a cabbit and

Yep. ^_^

Ryo-ohki wandered through the haze in a daze.
Everywhere she looked was white powder - but much
drier than snow. Indeed, this stuff could absorb
moisture, turning into a doughy mixture; were she one
of the few races with porous skins, to whom towels
were
both medical miracles and lethal weapons, she might
have been quite dead by now.

As it was, she let out a silent miya of despair at the
wreckage, the sheer devastation. What was supposed to
be a product of joy was now ruined by the unforseen
consequences of her actions alone. In her mind's eye,
she could see Ryoko being angry with her about it, but
at the moment their shared link was silent. Ryoko
would now never be able to share what Ryo-ohki had
wanted to give her.

Through the powder still in the air, the cabbit saw
part of Sasami's face. Only the left eye, nose, and
part of the mouth, to be precise, now dead center in
Ryo-ohki's view and looking straight at her, yet the
rest of said face where it could not be seen behind
the all-encompassing white. A couple arc seconds away
lay
a lock of her blue hair, apparently her right
ponytail.
The look on her face was of surprise, not unexpected
considering how fast it had happened. But even now,
Ryo-ohki was sure, Sasami would forgive her. Or
perhaps she was just deluding herself.

Such doubts were dispelled when Sasami reached into
the
cloud and plucked Ryo-ohki out, smiling, then began to
towel the cabbit off. "That's okay, Ryo-ohki. We've
got another bag of flour, and lots more time. Slow
down and we'll get those cookies made!"
