Actually it would be possible to write a virus which
would infect both mac
and win - all you need to do is merge two viruses -
one for win and one
for mac and add in an OS detection subroutine...  I
don't think anyones
bothered to do this yet...

Some - a very few - have seen me in action, beyond

I allow them to see.  They think that I achieve my
results entirely within the wired, and devise
countermeasures so that no one may break in to their
computers.

The fools.  I do act through the wired, but I do not
act entirely within the silicon and plastic circuits.
They know the beginning of the next step - they call
it
"social engineering" - but they do not examine it in
detail.  Perhaps this is because they know they would
need to examine themselves in depth, and confront what
they truly are.  Regardless, it is a path they do not
follow, so they do not see what lies beyond.

For all the mastery that genius engineers display over
these creations, it is still the case that the most
densely packed, fastest computer remains the human
brain.  Artificial computers were my training grounds,
where I took my first baby steps on the path I have
been given.  It was when I learned how to use those to
manipulate people, that I truly began to understand.

And it does not amount to mere mind control, although
there is some of that.  Some claim that there is
perceived reality and then there is real reality, and
the two are only indirectly related.  But what some
quantum scientists are discovering is that the very
act of perceiving can, itself, alter reality.  In
short, if you can control the perceptions of enough
people in the right way, you can change how things
are.

I can not describe what it feels like, to generate
entire universes, entire branches of the timeline I
have always known as home, just to see what might
happen - just to satisfy some idle curiosity - then
banish it into nothingness, kindness so the souls in
that branch need not suffer their meaningless
existance, to say nothing of more concrete pains that
may have been the reason for observing that branch. 
Although, if the dismissed branches are meaningless,
does that itself mean the branch of history I
presently allow to have happened have any meaning, or
did I just arbitrarily pick one way for history to
unravel when I tired of these experiments?

But I suppose it is out of a sense of nostalgia, more
than self-preservation, that I keep deprogramming the
major operating system and application vendors'
security subroutines, and making it seem to their
manufacturers that they chose to write things that way
even though they know better.
