You are right about the info dumping, I did a really lousy
job of editing a much larger conversation.
The touched soul bit was originally the reason for the girl
giving him the mirror. The change in the story modified
this. I think it worked better the other way now.
Cologne has accepted Shampoo won't catch Ranma, as a groom,
at the present.
However they will both have long lives and if they stay
friends, she still might get a baby from him. Which is
enough to satisfy the council.
However, Shampoo at present, wants all or nothing.
The cages are from an manga story. They aren't used often.
Once is all I ever saw.
Oh the mirror makes a mini-universe, just large enough for
one person, you pull that person out into our universe, at
the present. Then the universe collapses back into the
original. So no change occurs there. The original person is
still there and does exactly as they did, the first time.
The change is in the present. A new person, who died ( in
this case violently ) is added to the present. Since it is
the same person, just one who escaped the death, by being
brought to the present. Of course she is ten year s younger
than her beloved ones and ten years out of date with the
rest of the world and legally dead, there will be some
problems. Likewise the Tendo's who have gone to such extreme
measures to deal with her death will have problems.
One of the main reasons for such a long conversation was to
determine whether Mrs. Tendo should be restored or would it
make things worse.
Oh, the line about the nightmare, was because both girls had
dreamed of restoring her and then woke up and it was a
dream.
It's nice in the dream but it horribly hateful afterwards,
which makes it a nightmare.
OK I guess chapter one part two will be late while I rewrite
part one. I hope draft two is better. Well at least I hope
to avoid the same mistakes.

If violence is not solving your
problems you're just not using enough of it.

"I guess I'm just an old-fashioned sentimentalist at heart.
I refuse
to accept a no-win scenario. I hate the thought of a
universe without
justice. If the maneuverings of dark powers can't be
exposed and
defeated by the pure of heart, then there's no point in
anything. I
can't believe that."
