That said, it isn't really relevant; the fic would probably be much less
coherent if the UK setting were used as a reason to drag in details of
contemporary Britain that don't fit well in the context of Hellsing, and
wouldn't necessarily have come about under different conditions.

    That's generally my feeling on the matter, too; the "feel" of British SF
and Horro is what I'm trying for, more than accuracy. Of course, if anything
ring too *balatantly* false, I'll change it- (don't want enraged Brits
sending me flames) but where accuracy conflicts with story value, I'll take
story value every time.

    Given the fact that this has (quite rightly) degenerated into a spam
thread (albeit an interesting one) we should take any further discussion of
these points to private mail.
