Linna's alarm clock doesn't require electricity to display, just to run (in
other words, it is a clock with a rather revolutionary display mode known
as "hands"). Back-up battery? She's like me - it's long since drained and
she's never bothered to replace it.
Of my 3 alarm clocks, two are electric. Of those, one has hands and the
other has numbered tiles that flip over. Of those two, only one has a
back-up battery, but it's long-since drained and I've never bothered to
change it. My 3rd clock is LCD, but it's battery powered.
