Author's note :

This story that you're about to read is a crossover
featuring the Ranma 1/2 cast, the Sailor Moon cast and the
characters from Devil Hunter Yohko. The action takes place at
the beginning of Ranma 1/2 and after the arrival of Kanzaki
Asuza. At first I wanted to write the plot into "The Truth
Revealed", but I believed the story would have become too
complicated.

What has happened before :

Ranma, Genma and the Chinese guide arrive at the dreaded
valley of Jusenkyo, but something unexpected happens. After
running for their lives, they finally find shelter in the
Amazon village. In the village things also go differently. A
scouting party is sent while the Amazons prepare themselves
for the battles ahead.

After fighting the demons for a month, Ranma and Genma
leave the Amazon's village. Back in Japan, Ranma meets the
Sailor Senshi and his mother.

Chapter 3 : Demons, girls and more demons.
09:03, Saotomes' residence
Juuban district, Japan

Akane could barely contain her frustration while they
waited for someone to answer the door. Here she was at the
front door of the boy that her father wished one of them would
marry. She was sure that Saotome Ranma was a pervert like all
the boys at Furikan High school.

[ I hate BOYS! They are all perverts! Nothing like
Tofuu-sensei. ]

Remembering the good doctor Akane mentally sighed. Two
month ago, the doctor had worked up the courage to ask Kasumi
out on a date. A little more than two weeks ago, Kasumi had
told them that Tofuu-sensei had proposed to her. Akane had
spent a week without knowing how to feel when Kasumi had told
them about her and Tofuu-sensei. She was happy for her big
sister, but she couldn't help but feel sad about losing
Tofuu-sensei.

She recently had come to accept that they loved each
other and that she could do nothing about it. She also came to
the conclusion that there was surely another man that she
could love. The day after, her father announced them that one
of them would marry the son of his best friend.

[ Hes better not try anything or else... ]

Her thought were interrupted when someone opened the
door. It was a woman with short auburn hair clad in a
traditional kimono, to Akane she seemed to be a least a few
years younger than her father.

" Ah! Tendou-san, I am overjoyed to welcome you and your
daughters into my home. "

Akane knew that she was now facing the wife of her
father's old friend. She seemed to be a nice person and her
greeting sounded sincere. Akane could only hope that her son
had retained some of her trait.

" I hope that our stay here will bring happiness to our two
families. "

With a simple, but gracious hand motion Mrs. Saotome
invited them inside. Her father went in first, promptly
followed by Nabiki and at last Akane unhurriedly entered. Once
they were all inside, Mrs. Saotome closed the door and leaded
them down the hallway. Nabiki was looking everywhere, probably
trying to guess how much the Saotomes were worth. She only
recently discovered how much a mercenary her sister was. Her
friends had told her, but she couldn't believe them... that is
until she discovered that she was selling pictures of her to
the boys at school.

It only took a few instants and they were now entering
what was looking like a living room and a dining room put
together. Akane's appreciation of the room stopped abruptly
when she saw the room occupants. A boy stood alongside of a
girl, both of them were roughly her age. Her attention fell on
the boy who was without a doubt the son of Mrs. Saotome. He
shared several facial features with his mother.

" Let me present you my son, Ranma and Mano Yohko, she is
from Nerima. Both of them are sixteen. "

Each bowed when Nodoka introduced them. While she was
paying attention to the boy, Ranma, the woman had moved to
remain by the table that separated the two small groups.

" This is Tendou Soun he is my husband's best friend. Soun
and Genma trained under the same master when they were younger.
With him are his two daughters, they own the Tendou Dojo in
Nerima. "

Her father moved to be between her and Nabiki. He
lightly put his hands on Nabiki's shoulders.

" This is Nabiki, age seventeen and this is Akane, age
sixteen. I also have a third daughter, Kasumi, but she has
already a fianc and could not accompany us today. "

Akane bowed once her father took away his hands from her
shoulders like he did for her older sister. With the
presentation complete they all sat around the low table. As
soon as everyone was seated, Ranma was the first to speak.

" So, your all came from Nerima? "

Nabiki answered his question before their father could.

" It would seem so, we came here by bus. How did you get
here Mano-san "

Akane noticed that Nabiki was giving Yohko her tell me
what I want to know look. She, herself, had been on the
receiving end of that look, but she could find the reason why
her sister used it now. She normally uses it only when someone
has what she desire.

" I used the train to get here... and please call me Yohko "

Then it hit her, Nabiki want this boy! She couldnt
understand why she wanted him, but for some reason she didnt
like it. She could see Nabiki prepare her next question, she
had to act.

" Its a good thing that you didn't use the bus like us. "

She could feel Nabiki looking at her disapprovingly for
taking the control of the conversation away from her.

  " Why? "

[ Demons and monsters arent the greatest conversation topic
for a first meeting, but I wasnt planning for a second. ]

" There was a group of demons attacking near the bus
terminal. "

Akane saw Ranma and Yohko share a quick glance. They
most likely thought that she had run screaming from the bus
like a scared little school girl. Ill show them!

  " They weren't all that though! "

Those two were now looking at her with interest it
seemed that even the boys mother was intrigued. She was
surprised when her sister gave them a few explanations.

" My little sister probably saved the life of the bus driver,
but it was mostly the Sailor Senshi that fought and defeated
the demons. "

Hearing such praise from her sister made Akane beam with
pride.

" Although, I believe that she should leave that to the
Senshi or some other group specialised in fighting demons. "

Nabikis last few words had the reverse effect. She made
her big sister know by glaring at her, if Nabiki was
intimidated by it she did not let it show.

" I don't need to be a magical girl to fight demons. It's
the duty of a martial artist to protect the weak! "

Akane could feel her control over her anger lessen. If
Nabiki kept it up they certainly end up in a verbal fight.
Surprisingly enough, it was Ranmas voice that took her
attention away from Nabiki.

" You're big sister right, you could have get seriously
injured or worst, better leave that to us. "

[ Who does this boy think he is? Its to dangerous for me
fight demon, but its alright for him. And who is he referring
to when he say us. He couldnt be that guy that been seen
along with the Senshi, can he? ]

" No offence Ranma-kun, but you don't look to be the type to
wear a sailor fuku. Unless that is; you can turn into a girl. "

Ranma reaction to Nabikis statement was quite agitated.
He moved his head back while waving his hands in front of
himself. While looking at him, Akane nearly laugh out loud.

" Nonononono! What I meant is that my mom, Yohko and I are
devil hunters. "

Akane, Nabiki and their father looked at Ranma as he grew
a second head.

[ Juuuust great! I get away from an idiot that think were
still in the time of the samurai to meet one that think he is
a devil hunter. ]

When it seemed that her father was going to ask
something, but Mrs. Saotome spoke first.

" Ranma is telling the truth. The Saotome and the Mano
families as fought demons and various creatures of darkness
for generations. The reason of Ranma and Yohko engagement is
to strengthen the bond between our two clans."

Akane was surprised that what Ranma had told them was
actually true, she then realised something. The Mano claim
between the two families meant a lot more than the joining of
two martial art schools.

[ I am sure dad will understand and forget the whole thing
or find some other mean to reach his gaol. ]

" Even though I understand the importance of the Manos
claim; our is just as valid. Ranma is still engaged to my
daughters. "

[ And maybe not after all. Well at least I might learn a few
things from them. After all they are devil hunters so they
might know a thing or two about martial art that I dont. ]

Akane was pulled back from her thought by Yohkos
exclamation. Its was easy to notice that the girl was
surprise and a little upset by what she just heard.

" BOTH of them are engaged to Ranma?! "

Nodoka directed an apologizing look toward the girl.

" The engagement between the Saotome and the Tendou didn't
precise which daughter would marry my son. So long as they
unite the two parts of the Anything Goes style. "

Akane watched as the girl, the devil hunter she
corrected herself, as her shoulders fell in defeat. For her,
it must look pretty bad, two girls engaged to the same boy as
she was.

[ Well she will have nothing the fear from me! That Ranma
doesnt interest me in the slightest. ]

Before Akane could state her opinion on the engagement,
Ranmas mother asked a question directed at her father.

" Are both of your daughters as proficient in the art,
Tendou-san? "

This was not good! If Nabiki was judge inadequate for
the engagement it would left her alone to carry out the
family honor.

" Although, Akane is my heir, Nabiki as been taught the
basic of the Anything Goes. "

[ A long time ago, but yes she did. It was before... ]

Akane stopped her current thought before she dig old and
painful memories about her late mother and how much she missed
her. She did not want to cry in front of stranger especially
not boy. Her father question help get back to the present.

" What about you Yohko-san? Have been you trained in any
particular school? "

It would seem that her father was redirecting the
attention toward another topic.

" Not really, my grandmother taught me everything I know
about fighting from unarmed combat to sword fighting. "

This was a topic that she was really interested in. How
can a girl age become a devil hunter? And more importantly how
can she train to become one? Akane was sure that she could
become one in no time; after all she was the best in Nerima!
She just had to prove Nabiki and her father that she could do
it. She had to!

" Really! For my part, my father trained ever since I was
little. I was the best back home! "

Akanes skill had slightly improved because of the
morning fight; a few people even challenged her in one on one
fight. A few of those had been really hard, but she managed
to pull through. One of her most difficult fight had been
with Kunous sister, Kodachi, her style was martial art
rhythmic gymnastic. The girl kept on using underhanded trick
in her fight; even attacking her opponent before the scheduled
match. If it hadnt from the training the Furinkan own
rhythmic gymnastic team she would have been sourly beaten by
the Black Rose as she called herself.

Akane was sure she could improve up to the point where
she could beat demons without breaking a sweat; she just
needed more training. After all, if a boy could do it she
could do it too!

" Akane! The training of a devil hunter must be very
different from what I trained you, isnt Mano-san? "

It would seem that her father didnt think the same of
her. She knew that her father hadnt trained her as well as he
could. That why she took a few training trip on her own, that
and to get away from Kunou. She had learned a lot in those few
trips in the wild and one of them was to bring food that she
hadnt prepared. In her first trip, she noticed that she had a
hard time preparing her meals; even some simple recipe like
boiled noodle or curry. In the end she had been improving: she
was no more stomach-ache after every meal.

Akane hoped that Yohko wouldnt side with her father and
refuse help her improve. If she did she would have to try with
Ranma and she did not like the idea.

" Well... I was never trained by anybody else other than my
grandmother so I dont really know. "

Although she didnt like it, she would need help from
Ranma, who as been trained in martial art prior to become a
devil hunter, to convince her father and Nabiki.

" I mustnt be all that different dad since Ranma as been
trained in the Anything Goes, right Ranma? "

Akane looked directly at Ranma with her friendliest
smile, she hoped that he would let understand her. Akane
completely missed Yohkos reaction to her actions.

" Well... My training wasnt all that easy... "

At that, she had to struggle not to verbally lash back
at him. Akane had pushed herself hard to become as good as she
is now and to hear some boy belittle her efforts really mad
her want bash his head with a large object like a table or a
mallet. Although she was able to not insult him outright or
hit him, her temper did show in her next few words.

  " Neither was mine! "

Ranma seemed to be taken by surprise by her sudden
outburst.

" Hah... well... I learned a lot of stuff while fighting
demons in China... "

After hearing Ranmas attempt to calm her down, Akane
quickly regained her smile. Probably without realising it, he
had given her a new angle that she could exploit to her
advantage.

" And can learn a lot by fighting them here. I not like
there going to be a shortage of demons around here! "

Akane could see that he couldnt find a good way to
contradict her. Honestly, Akane had never seen a person as
simple to read.

  " I guess... "

Akanes smile widened when she heard his reply; she was
now closer to her goal. She would be trained into fighting
demons with the help of actual devil hunters. Even though she
didnt knew where her new interest in fighting demon came from,
but to her it just felt right.

" Akane, please this is not the time for this. "

Akane knew that Nabiki and her father were trying to
protect her, but now she would have none of this. She had been
able to overcome Ranmas best argument; it was now time for
her to press forward to her goal.

" Actually, I think it is just the right time. After all,
you brought us here so one of us would unify our two schools
of martial art. So, why not see how skilled he his? "

She looked toward Ranma with a smile. Not her usual
smile, but one Nabiki use often enough. Akane had title it the
"I got you where I want" smile.

" How about a little match then? "

Akane could see his hesitation; he certainly did not
expect a martial art match the day of their first meeting. She
wanted to show him, but more importantly Yohko, that she was
good enough to fight demons. All she would have to do was to
beat Ranma. Not only would she have proven her point, but she
was sure Ranma would look at her for a prospective wife after
that.

  " Hah...Sure... Why not? "

She couldnt help but smile; she had just won a victory
that was more in Nabikis department and it felt good. She
was ready to get up, but she was interrupted by Ranmas
mother.

" Before you go outside to spar, you should probably unpack
some of their things before the night. "

Akane looked back to where they had left their luggage
and understood the womans point. After entering the room
they had left them near the entrance and in everyone way.

" Lets go then, I can barely wait! "

Akane stood up and pick up her nearby luggage and waited
for Nabiki to do the same. Surprisingly enough, Nabiki didnt
protest and took her own luggage.

" Yohko, even if your things are already up there it would
probably be better to unpack them now. "

  " Sure, aunty "

After that, Akane, Nabiki and Yohko simply followed
Nodoka upstairs. Akane tried to contain her excitement; she
would learn from devil hunter. All she had to do now was to
prove her worth; too bad it would be against Ranma, he mustnt
be all that better than the boys from Furikan.

[ I will try not to humiliate him too much; after all I am a
guest here. ]

Once she made it at the top of the stairs, Akane looked
around and noticed that it was a lot like the first floor:
nicely decorated in a traditional manner and very clean. Akane
looked at some of the painting and scrolls that were
decorating the walls all the while following heir host to one
of the room.

09:43, Queen Beryls court
Dark Kingdom

Queen Berryl was sitting on throne while looking at the
globe that floated between her hands. The globe in question
had been created by a powerful wizard to emulate some of the
Time Gate ability. The Sigh Sphere, as it was named, permitted
it bearer to see the event of the past. Unfortunately for it
current owner it could not be use to spy on her enemy: the
Sailor Senshi. Because of some design failure or by voluntary
action the Sailor Senshi magic was interfering with the power
of the Sphere.

For the moment, Queen Berryl was watching her general
latest tentative in harvesting energy from the human. The
operation as been costly: sending a small squad of their youma
accompanied by several newly acquired demons had required a lot
of energy. Although the high cost of the operation and the loss
of some demon; Jadeite had been able to bring slightly more
energy than what had been required. Berryl was slightly
pleased by the overall result, but was frustrated by her troops
failing in defeating Sailor Moon and her friend. Taking her
gaze away from the sphere she looked at the man standing before
her.

" Jadeite, explain me why your demon were not successful in
defeating the Sailor Senshi! "

If the blond haired feared for his life at that moment he
did not show it. Jadeite was one of her most competent general;
although he seemed to have been plagued by failure in the last
few months. Most of his last operations were disrupted by the
Senshi. They still didnt know what their current identities
were, but they knew that, like them, they had been brought here
by Serenity. Berryl had had her doubt when Sailor Moon ruined
one of Jadeites plans. After all, she never heard of a Sailor
Moon during Serenity reign. When the annoying girl was joined
by Sailor Mercury, all her doubts were set aside. Recently,
Sailor Mars started to fight alongside them.

One thing was clear to Berryl: the Senshi were slowly
regrouping. They had no way of finding the remaining Sailor
Senshi before they joined the others. The only thing that
could be done was to eliminate the three that had shown
themselves before all the Senshi had regrouped. Those three
were enough trouble has themselves if the Inner and Outer
Senshi were to fight her, it would be nearly impossible to
awake Metalia.

Her thought were brought back to her present concern by
Jadeite as he answered her enquiry.

" My Queen, the sole reason why the demon did not eliminate
them was that I ordered them not to. "

All around them the assembly of creatures that composed
Queen Berryls court fell completely quiet. Some of them did
not even dare to breathe... although, quite a few of them
never breathe to begin with. The reason for such a reaction
was extremely oblivious. Queen Berryl had given the order to
all her servant to kill the Sailor Senshi if the chance
presented itself. No one had defied her so openly... except
the Sailor Scout that is.

" I hope for you, Jadeite, that you have a good motivation to
have disobeyed one of my orders. "

Her voice had never been gentle before, but now it voice
was down right hostile. All around, her court was filled by the
whisper of the creature. Many discussing the fate of the
General; each the possibilities were painful and horrible. If
one would have spent a second to look at Jadeite they would
have been utterly surprise. Many would have believed him to be
begging for mercy, but there he was as confident has ever. The
courts mumble had become so loud that Queen Berryl decided to
interfere.

  " SILENCE! "

After her outburst, the court fell into stillness; not a
single creature dared to move in fear of make itself be hear.
Once satisfied, Queen Berryl returned her attention to her
General.

" Now Jadeite explain me your actions and it better be
good... for your own good. "

Even after such a threat, the man was remaining calm. He
haven moved since he spoke his last reply. His unbelievable
calm was even beginning to get on Berryls nerve.

" My Queen, the reason why I gave this order was because
they were to occupy the Sailor Senshi while I was infiltrating
another group of youma. "

Queen Berryl intensely looked at her General.
Infiltrating youma in the the human society was nothing new.
They have been doing it even before beginning the process of
awaking Metalia. She could not understand why one of her
General would was so much effort solely to infiltrate a few
youma, normally referred as "shade".

" All this was done so you could infiltrate a few shades?! "

Her exclamation started a few whispers in the court, but
a sharp glare of her part and everything returned to silence.
Her attention went back to Jadeite; the man that had wasted
some of their precious resource for a meaningless goal. Not
that she cared about their newly acquired demons, far from it,
but they could have served for more important operations.

She had been investigating an important magical
disruption with the Sight Sphere when she found a large group
of demons. Many of them were injured and some of them were
very weak from lack of food. She had send Kunzite with a few of
her youma. Some of them tried to attack her general, but soon
understood that he would not be their next meal. Then Kunzite
delivered her "diplomatic" message to them: Serve the Dark
Kingdom or perish. Most of them had chosen to serve her while
they others were taken care by Kunzite.

Those that Jadeite had employed in his latest operation
have been of the weakest cast of her newly acquired demon;
although tougher than the average youma they did not possess
any ability other than their strength. Some of them had useful
ability that lacked her youma; those she had regrouped in
specials teams and they would play an important role in the
Senshis demise. She had sent one such team against the Senshi
yesterday and they had failed, but it did not matter since she
had picked the weakest one.

Once she had regained some calm, she motioned to Jadeite
to finish his explanation.

" The youma that I have infiltrated will not only gather the
human energy, but also some precious intelligence. "

" What make it so deferent than your earlier failures. "

" My earlier operations failed because I concentrated my
effort on gathering as much energy as possible in the shortest
amount of time. This time I infiltrated several agents in
various locations in the city; they will gather a small, but
steady amount of energy. Each amount too little for the Senshi
detect, but as a whole enough to keep true to schedule and
maybe more. "

Berryl could see some of the merit of Jadeite plan... if
it worked. If it turned out to be another failure she would
have to punish Jadeite accordingly... to insure that her other
generals did not the same mistake. Although Jadeites plan took
care of their current need in energy, it did a critical point
unattended.

" Is it just me or are your current operation is based on
avoiding the Senshi, Jadeite. "

There was a reason for the orders she gave on destroying
the Sailor Senshi. If the Senshi were eliminated, then there
would be no need for sneaky operations like Jadeite current one.

" While the agents gather energy and information, we will
have more resource available to eliminate the Senshi. "

The energy would be useful in staging their next
operations and more accurate intelligence would be hindrance.
Especially, if the information could expose the Senshis
identity.

" Do not believe that I am blind to the merit of your plan
Jadeite... but I warn you if you disobey my other once again I
will not be so comprehensive. Now have you found a way to feed
the new demons? "

Unlike their youma, the Earth demons could not be
nourished with raw energy. Until now they had to feed them with
what little animal they could find or they would turn
themselves to the sick or injured of their own kind.

" I have contacted some human organisation that would be
ready to bring us enough humans to kept them feed. They are
even ready to _pay_ us to make some of them disappear! "

The prospect of having one less logistical problem in her
hand, made Beryl mood light... a little. It was enough to spar
Jadeite any punishment at her hand... for the moment.

" Very well Jadeite. You may leave now."

At her word, her general bowed and even though he had
come close to feel her wrath, he showed no sigh of ever
fearing such retribution.

" As you wish, my Queen. "

At those words Jadeite seemed to fade into the
surrounding darkness.
