Nope. Jameson has a real hate-on for Spider-Man, to the point of
reinterpreting reality... in one anniversary issue, he retells the entire
history he's had with Spidey, his opinions on him, and basically he sees
him as nothing but the worst kind of criminal, using his great power for
great irresponsibility, exactly the opposite of the credo that Peter lives
his life by.
Jameson, in fact, was the one who commissioned and funded one of the
comics' rogues gallery regulars, the Spider Slayer robots. So I'd say he
believes in him. n.n;;

         To truly understand this, you need to know about Jameson's
own life. It's not much known in these later days, but in the first
few years of the comic, Jameson revealed the fact that as a child,
he wanted to be a hero himself. But not a superhuman sort, no.
What HE wanted was to be the crusading reporter sort, who crushes a
deceitful politician every week, breaks a world-changing story ever
month, and regularly wins the Pulitzer Prize AND the Nobel Peace Prize
for the same story.

         Then along came the superhumans and masked heroes, who
proceeded to push the crusaiding reporter from "admired public
hero whom every child wants to be like" down to the level of
"minor society irritant/required society gadfly".

         Oh, Jameson always had a thing against people in masks,
he'd lost some family and friends to a mob hit, and the killers
wore masks.

         But once in his life, he was truly honest with himself and
reluctantly and most bitterly admitted that the main problem he
had with Spiderman and other heroes of that strip was that...
he couldn't be one of them. Jealousy.

         Naturally, no one was in the room with him, and he vowed
never to speak those words again. From then on, his heroes were
astronauts, fire fighters, policemen, and other normal humans who
risked their lives without wearing a mask, and who got crappy
paychecks for doing so.

         And he forever after hated metahuman heroes as flashy
braggarts who cheated by using unfair advantages that they didn't
(or wouldn't!) share with the general public.
