I don't know of anybody in the Western fanfic community that has really
gone and done a doujinshi, but the Daigakusei no Ranma people have a ton
of fanart with a very distinctive style... Maybe with abit more "peer
pressure" they could do something like that...
As for the Japanese guys, it's very common... The very concept of
doujinshi/"fan manga" is about 20 yrs. Old... But then lots of us don't
know japanese ;_;

Hi there!
Sorry if this is a tad OT, but a thought occured to me the other day -
Are there any fanfic authors out that who also happen to be good
artists... say good enough to write and draw fan Manga?
I mean, you get fan fiction, and you get fan art, and you get people who
draw their own web manga strips... so has anyone tried combining these
creative aspects to create Fan Manga?
I'd give it a go, but I'm not quite that good at drawing (I do kick ass
colour, though =)
