Belldandy was not only at peace with remaining human. She was happy! 
And then they started to wonder if humanity was preferable to what they 

had. 

Allow me to say- This is GOOD! This crisis is very good. It's a crisis that all 
the magic in Heaven couldn't solve. I love crisis like these. You don't need 
any other threats, just concentrate on this.

Keiichi, Belldandy's severance...we don't know how to duplicate it yet. But 
now that there's this...envy among us in the Heavens, one of us will want 

to try. 

If the severance were only a matter of cutting off a goddesses' access to 
magic, there are ways to do that already depicted in the manga. Kami-sama 
could do it. Letting your goddess license expire while you're on the mortal 
plane would do it too.

If divinity meant more than that (and it should) then Bell's severance IS 
unprecedented. 

What if it affects how the system is run? What does that mean for this 
world? Keiichi, I have to ask, and you have to ask yourself. Do you really 
want to be responsible for this magnitude of trouble?"

Big questions. If you use the rest of the fic to answer them and answer 
them well, this will be a good fic indeed.
