That is, plain and simple, the best premise for the old "Nodoka gives
Ranma girl lessons" plotline that I've ever seen. I always figured
that was how the initial seppuku contract happened, was that Nodoka
and Genma said things in the heat of a raging argument over whether
Genma could take Ranma away from her and ended up getting trapped
into a agreement that neither of them really wanted by their eccentric
ideas of honour.
