[FFML] Escaflowne Fic search (PRP Last ditch effort)

This is a Last ditch, 'holy cow I can't believe I couldn't find it anywhere else' effort.

The Anime is Escaflowne
the time would be a continuation from the series
the last time I remember seeing any part of it anywhere would be 2001

Plot synopsis.

Hitomi has returned to the mystic moon. As time goes on (and I don't think a lot has if I remember right) Hitomi's father started to sexually abuse her. sick and finally at the rock bottom, she runs away from home desperately ill with a fever and in the rain. She passes out on a park bench and is taken by the colum of light to the mystic moon where she is found by a family of Cat folk (in or very close to) Fanelia. At this time she is helpless and completely unable to care for herself as her fever rampages.

The family care's for her and Van is aware that Hitomi has returned since the pendant she gave him burned his hand when she arrived on his world. He goes out to find her after being told by Merle where her bag was found and who found it. Going to the house he is too late as the house had been burned down and the lives of the two parent cat-people have been taken. The youngster was taken back to the castle to be cared for by Merle.

Van goes to find Hitomi after this and it is seen that a band of bandits had taken her. In her incoherant state they realize that she is dead weight and they ditch her at the resting place of Escaflowne.

It's at this point that the story was cut off (I think) and I would very much like to know if someone has also seen this fic and knows if it has been continued or completed and where I might find it.
