Greetings all...

I have a story idea that I am considering writing up
but would like to know if anyone has seen anything
like it already(and if so the name of the fic please).

Enter the normal cliched entrance to a Ranma fic...
the traditional "I'm Ranma... Sorry about this."
with one small twist.

I have always been wondering at the wording of Soun
and Genma's pact. To wit: To join the two schools.
Notice the wording here. I might be wrong(if I am
someone please correct me) but the wording was not
to join the families, but the schools.

While this may seem to some as nit-picking, I see a
problem with this wording that I honestly believe Genma
would see: There is no Tendo school.

Bear with me here... Akane is the Heir to the Tendo
school. Akane's skills are mediocre to marginal at
best. Her main abilities consist of her Strength and
Group battles. She has no patience, no respect of
others, an anger problem, and no honor.

I can already hear the Akane fans panting heavily
at the last comment, but please at least listen to
my reasoning first. I take you back to the first
fight that Ranma and Akane had in the Dojo: Akane
asked for a 'little match'. Made the comment "Don't
worry, I won't hurt you." Then, when the battle did
not go the way she thought it should, she kept upping
her power and then "This time for real". Did she ask to
up the pace? Did she even let her opponent know that
the 'little match' had become a real one? Actions like
the ones she pulled in that match would have had her
being yanked off the floor in any dojo I have been in,
and a royal ass-chewing by the Master of the Dojo.
What if Genma-panda had been standing in the door of
the dojo and decided he didn't like what he had seen.


Please Note: I am NOT blaming Akane here, her actions
are all Soun's faul. Soun is her father and the Master
of their school. Her actions directly reflect on him,
and I am seeing Genma being mad at Soun for not
teaching/controlling his heir.

This could be written up in about any style (comedy
drama, etc)
