SPOILER ALERT: The author of this fan fiction assumes that the
reader is familiar with the entire plot of canon Ranma. This
story takes place during the summer immediately following the end
of graphic novel 38. There are also some anime references in here.
I rather enjoyed the start of this, Andrea, but it seems
to me that Ranma-chan fell into despair a little too quickly. After
all, there's another solution to the problem that Cologne SHOULD
have known (for that matter, everyone should have known it), and
despite being set after volume 38, it should have come up
immediately.
Jyusenkyo was destroyed, but if memory serves, it is supposed
to return eventually. Spring of Drowned Boy + Musk Locking Ladle =
female Ranma-chan in locked in Boy-type cursed form. Simple solution.
For that matter, I wonder what Instant SoD Boy powder, applied
with the Locking Ladle, would do. Would its (usually) temporary effect
be made permanent by the power of the Locking Ladle?
Hmm.. Gary, Master of the Clow Car.. err, Master of the Canon
Knowledge of Ranma and Defender of the FFML should know. ^_^
<dashes off quick carbon copy of this to Gary>
Any thoughts on that, Gary? I'm clowning a bit, but the
question's quite serious. After all, while the springs may or may
NOT be available (depends on how LONG it's been since the Ranma /
Saffron battle has taken place), there's always a few of those
bloody Instant Jyusenkyo packets "floating" around.
(oooo, BAD pun..)
I am NOT saying there's a need to rewrite your story, Andrea.
But this is an issue that needs to be addressed, and if need be,
dismissed. (that is, use your authorial powers to explain away the
plot hole. All the packets were used up by Mousse, the Springs still
haven't come back yet, those idiots Mint and Lime misplaced the
Ladle again, et cetera...)
That's about it from me, Andrea. Nice name, too. Pity you
don't write REBOOT fanfic. ^_^
Take care, be well, and keep writing.
Sincerely,
Ed Becerra
