When speaking about inanimate objects, animals, and ideas, yes this is true. 
When speaking of people however you add a tachi at the end to indicate more 
that one. For instance, Boku (I) becomes bokutachi (we). Furthermore, this is 
not written in Japanese, but in English. Therefore unless we are talking 
about an exclusively Japanese word, I would fall back onto English grammar. 
We don't want to start saying "a pack of hungry wolf" I don't think. However 
"a pack of garou" would, in my opinion be more correct than "a pack of 
garous" Saotome is a name, and so it can fall into the English classification 
of a proper noun and therefore, in my opinion it ought to be treated 
accordingly.

2. Were extant = existed. More or less.
3. Some agreement on the lack of description, especially of new
characters and objects. Not that _I_ know how to work that stuff in
seamlessly, but...
