Since I'm de-lurking anyway:
Another thing entirely I've been expecting (dreading would be a better 
word) has been certain authors of dark and twisted stories coming across a 
japanese film called Battle Royale (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0266308). All 
debate about how (ir-)realistic it is in some places, it was one of the 
more disturbing things I've ever watched. I kept thinking about the FFML 
and how it would would fit into some stories (probably Ranma in particular, 
and yes I do happen to think that the FFML is leaning far too far ranma-wise).
I also don't really care for [dark] stories , but it's been on my mind how 
some authors would react ever since, so ... any thoughts anyone? Or anyone 
_knowing_ the film?
