Isn't "Kami-sama" as a single entity an OMG thing? Aren't the kami
multiple entities in actual Japanese mythology?

Yohko's devil hunting sidekick, when in over her head once prayed to
Amaterasu, Buddha and Kami-sama in order to cover all of her bases.
