For people like Exar, and others who may come up with what they think is
an original idea, it usually is. What you did, Exar, was not plagarism
at all. Novelty isn't required to create an independent work - so your
story was perfectly fine.
You came up with a story that was remarkably similar to one that was
already in existence, and you didn't know that. Therefore, you created
independently, and that's just dandy.
So, you didn't plagarize. Good. Now get back to writing.

"Self-Extraction" by, well, a whole lot of
people. It has an incredibly similar idea
to my story, and I hadn't read it before.
I just wanted to apologize to the mailing
