A "Phantom" crossover? ^_O
Very well done. you captured the flavor of the old pulps
and blended it all well with BGC. one of the few instances
of exposition that work well. Good dialogue and narrative.
A very nice read.

problems:
two minor ones.
1)The Title? it doesn't do justice to the story.
2)I'd prefer more specific attribution in the disclaimer.

Other than that, a professionally done story. 
Well done.
