What worked less well for me was the treatment of the Tendo sisters.
Not that I find anything wrong with their characterizations; all of
them seem pretty well-developed and consistent. My problem is that
most of the time they seem to get the better of everyone. There's a
few isolated instances in which they don't -- Soun getting his way on
the engagement, "Ranko" fooling them -- but in this installment alone
you've got the "take off your pants" scene, Kasumi leading Ukyo away,
Nabsy later essentially brow-beating her into submission, and maybe
others I'm forgetting. The ease with which they tend to take control
of situations makes it hard to believe that Ranma could get away with
anything detrimental to them.
If it were *easy* for Ranma, it wouldn't be interesting!
PS: I do agree with you on some of those, especially the "take off your
pants" scene. At the very least, he should have asked, "why should I
want to be in your silly computer?" or somesuch... and, after a bit of
fast-talking on *their* part, to convince him, he would have at least
tried to get away from them to change clothes -- maybe even gone to his
room, and put on something from his backpack instead of the speedo.
