I get the distinct impression that Japanese have real trouble saying a
word that ends in a consonant without adding a vowel.  So if you ask a 
Japanese person to call you "Tach", it'll come out "Tachu".  Speaking of
which, the Kunos would probably have a foreign accent to their Japanese.

       Both Ranma and Kodachi scoffed simultaeneously, then looked at
each other momentarily. They each looked away.
