No, you shouldn't have started. As the FAQ states quite clearly, fanfic
requests must be answered by private mail, to avoid compounding spam
with more spam.

Jason, that someone broke the rules does not give you license to post
personal abuse to the list. We can and do ban people for requesting
things that could have been easily found off-list -- usually privately,
but I'm reasonably sure I've done it publically before. And if you want
to make suggestions regarding list policy, or regarding the
implementation of said policy, the place to make them is the admins'
list, ffml-admins@anifics.com, not the list at large.

Chris, as these gentlemen have pointed out, the fanfic you asked for
could have been easily found through other means. You claim to have
searched extensively for it, but that evidently isn't so, or you'd have
found it.

The three of you are tempbanned for one week.
