That being said, I could honestly imagine Ryouga being in this story
and not being juts a gag gimmick. He has that unique ability in which
he is a wild rover and a good one at that. The trick will be, if you
choose this angle to exploit, keeping Ryouga's entrance both
plausible and non cliched to allow for it to happen smoothly.

At least, all IMO. :D

I've noticed a couple of people commenting on this, so I thought I'd
clarify a bit - Just because Ranma hasn't spent most of his life on a
training trip, it doesn't mean that he hasn't gone on training trips. He
could still have _met_ just about anyone - it's just unlikely that any
kind of strong attachment has formed, due to lack of time...
