Not much to say about this. Other than a few _tiny_ errors, such as
having a cat shrug. Twice in a row. It’s excellent. Nice pacing, good dialogue and narrative. Very professional and a nice read. 
As for OOC??? IMO, it’s more important that the characterization
be consistent within the framework of the story you’re
writing, than faithful to the original story.

There’s always a problem, overcoming reader attitudes about
characters and situations they already “know”. Concentrate
on telling a good story and I think the rest will take care of itself.
Of course it may help that I know very little about OMG, but
I like what you’ve done in terms of the characters. The interaction
between neko-Shan Pu and Urd was very nicely done. I think the 
best thing I can say is that the story flowed so smoothly that I didn’t
really notice I was reading it.
