You mean you doubted me? Foolish human.
And now
I'm going to C&C it...
*Ominous Thunder and Organ Music*
"And she is of noble blood...of a sort," he continued. "Her grandfather
is
the GP Comissioner and one of the most highly decorated war heros. It
was
his
unit that led the supression of the Protoss Uprising. The Royal
Bloodline
 would not suffer."
  SP: Heroes.
And, hero of what? The GP bowling league?
Yep. Ten pins every time for three games straight.
Whoooo... Ayeka shows her fangs. And I don't doubt that's a threat with
real teeth behind it, too. You playin' on da Princess's turf now!
That's one of things that bugged me about the series. Ayeka is a Princess of
a society that as near as I can see, makes no distinction between the sexes.
Logically, she should have political skills that rival Machivelli all having
those skills entail. Hell, her mother is the freaking head of Intelligence.
Ayeka's been learning intriuge since before she left the womb. Yet in the
series, she's shows no sign of it and comes across as basically a spoiled
brat.
Heh. Sug replacing "cable" with "TV," though.
  10,000,000 channels?
At least.
 "Afraid?" Ayeka asked archly.

"Afraid? Hah!" Ryoko let out a snort of laughter. "She was just more
trouble then she was worth."
Yep, that's the R&A we know and love.
Isn't it?

"She was a joke," Kiyone said flatly. "They both were. Jokes and cowards."
Uh...oh. I think somebody just opened the clost wher the GP keeps its
skeletons. Kiyone must really be tired.

Exhausted.
Kiyone nodded. "A doctor at remote mining colony claims a strange woman
dragged him from his bed at gunpoint and into a funny looking space-ship
where she made him stabilize a purple-haired woman. The thing is, he
also
claims that in a corner, he saw Aran's suit. It's totally unique in
appearance and it uses Varia shield tech. Because of that, some people
claim that Aran and Hiboshi survived and are living somewhere on the edge
of
civilization, waiting until they are needed again and other mythic crap
like that."
  Great...Arthurian myth.
Hence Kiyone's comment of "mythic crap"
One thing, though -- this story doesn't quite hold water for me. Why
would Aran and Hiboshi have turned on their comrades, and *then* panicked
in
utter fear of Reptex? I could see it if they were secretly Reptex's
allies,
but as it stands, attacking their own team because they were afraid of
Reptex
doesn't make any sense. Hell, if they were so afraid of him, why did they
chase him down in the first place?
Exactly...
"No, no," Kasuhito chuckled. "As I've said to Tenchi, my place is here
now.
I won't leave." He clapped Nobiyuki on the shoulder. "Take plenty of
pictures
 for me."
Huh. Seems out of character for him. But maybe Jurai has really bad
memories for him...
In the OAV, Yosho told Tenchi that his place was on Earth and it was where he
would die and be buried. I figure with that mindset, he would choose not to
leave.
Oh, c'mon, Kiyone! Who's gonna save your butt now when you get in over
your head? It was only Mihoshi's Strange Luck that kept you alive *this*
long!
I don't think she's thinkng about that right now.
If there is anyone who believes that this joining to be a portent of ill, let
them
speak now, or speak not at all."
And this is where Historians record that the 17th Intergalactic War
broke
out..
18th. Misaki started the 17th...don't ask. Nobody really wants to talk about
it.
"Well it's not that I object to the joining, but the lady and I do have
unfinished bisinuess." The voice came from the back of the room. "Best
we
 settle it now."
Oh...no. I just had a horrid, HORRID realization. Ky, you didn't.
TELL
me you didn't do what I think you did...
Kagato? Nah. Too cliche.
Invisibility? Interesting. Must be how he got near the ceremony.
Nah, just fast.
Also: he hit *Sasami.* He dies. He dies HARD. You understand me? I
want his HEAD on a PIKE!
(ahem. Sorry. Sasami-chan pushes my Big Brother buttons...)
MMMmmmm. No pikes. I have something worse in store for him.
Misaki,
call
your subordinates and find out how the hell that man got into my
palace."
Oh, yeah, GOOD question. Security people for that type of get-together
don't mess around, and Misaki's supposed to be pretty good at her job.
She would almost have to be. Sometimes I wonder about how much of that is an
act.
Oh...Reptek, you just made a BAD enemy. Tenchi roused to a truly
killing
rage would be bad enough solo... but he comes with a whole package of
whoop-ass in trail.
That he would...
"Inform the council that I accept on behalf of the Emperor their oaths
of
loyalty," Ayeka said. "The formalities will be attended to once the
prince
has been returned to us. Until then, all of my father's advisors will
keep
their offices and all of Jurai's resources are to focused on locating
the
Prince. Let it be known to every male, female, and mutligender in the
galaxy
  "and multigender." Heh. Nice touch.
Thanks.
 "I can't go back. I won't back."
Oh, hell. I think I know who "they" are. This...is gonna hurt, isn't
it? It's time for the long kiss goodnight...
And who would they be?
Then it was simply a matter of turning Mihoshi
loose. There was no mountain big enough for Reptek to hide under once
that
 happened.
You don't know how right you are, K.
Oh I do, old boy...I really think I do...
By the way, I hope nobody was using those binary star systems over there.
