Subject: [FFML] [fic][R.5/SM/AMG/Orig][lime]Tears of a Dragon:B1C7[Hearts on the Line]

Zhu Shu turned to Ranma. "When I was teaching her the Dance, something got
out of control. I don't know how, but we blended chi ... entirely."

"Th- that's not supposed to happen, except ... except ..." the redhead
blanched as he looked at them. "To lovers...." he finished in a whisper.
He closed his eyes as it felt like something inside of him was dying and
taking him with it. He sighed. "Oh, well. I suppose it was inevitable."

He wasn't looking at them, or he might have seen the pain his words caused
in Zhu Shu's eyes ... or the sheer rage that burned in Akane's. Then he was
picked up and bodily slammed six inches into the wall and had to meet
Akane's infuriated gaze.

"Ranma Saotome. You ... you ... BAKA!!! I'll have you know nothing of the
sort happened!" The fire in her eyes was hotter than Ranma had ever seen.
"I don't care how little you think of me ..." she snarled, "But I will not
stand here and let you insult Zhu Shu's honor that way!"

Ok, I'm lost here. Now, admittedly, I've only read this chapter up to the end of Gymnastic fight,
mainly because I needed something to read while I eat, and that I had not read any of the other
parts of this series. But this does not make sense. If only lovers are capable of blending chi,
then why are Akane and Zhu Shu becoming angry? Everbody else in the world would probably make that
assumption, if they knew that only lover's can blend chi, so why are they angry. They blended chi,
something that only lover's can do, ergo, they were lover's. So why are they angry? Everybody else
would make that assumption, even I did when Ranma made that statement. Unless of course, this is
where the women are always right, and the men wrong type of thing.

In any case, why didn't Ranma make a case that since only lover's can merge ki, that was what had
happened? Why did he just stand there like a wuss, and not try to defend himself from such
accusations. They merged ki, and he thought only lover's can merge ki, which meant that they had
merged ki. Simple as that. I just don't get this. Could you please explain this to me, because it
doesn't make sense at all, reading the previous portions is something that I'm not interested in
doing as to the length of the story so far, and lack of time and interest. So please explain to me
why Akane and Zhu Shu got angry at such an obvious assumption, and why Ranma didn't yell back that
since only lover's can merge ki, that since they merged ki that he thought they were lovers.

Thanks
