Prologue

A New Chance

Buffybot was chained up and about to be torn to pieces by angry biker demons. She struggled to get loose and slay the demons. That's what she was programmed to do. She realized she couldn't get loose and wondered what would happen next. Was she about to cease? She had never given it much thought before but she wondered now what would happen. She didn't think she would go to heaven , that place she had talked to Dawn and the others about , because she was a robot and robots didn't go to heaven ... at least she didn't think so. Before that talk she had always thought people just ceased being when they died. But Dawn had said that people had souls and they were pure energy that allowed a person to live on. Buffybot didn't think she had a soul. What would happen to her? Would she just stop being? Like a blown fuse would. Puff. No more Buffybot left at all. She remembered what she had done since Willow fixed her. She had been helping them slay vampires and keeping people safe. She had learned how to make grilled cheese sandwiches. She had spent many hours talking to Dawn. She had friends in Willow , Tara ,
Xander , Anya , even old Giles. Dawn was ... she was ... she was her ... sister. Yes , Dawn was her sister. She protected Dawn. She made sure Dawn was safe too. She cared about her , loved her sister. It was then that she realized something. Something simple. Something true. Something powerful. Something real.

"I don't want to die." , she said with wonder at the notion and sureness in
her tone .

"I DON'T want to die." , she said slightly louder.

"I DON'T WANT TO DIE!" , she yelled out then.

"Well you're going to girlie." , said the demon.

"And it'll be little pieces." , said another biker-demon.

Buffybot struggled and yelled for help. She wanted to live , had to get free.

It was then that a voice called out , "HEY! YOU UGLY THINGS! YEAH! YOU DEMONS ON THE BIKES! LET THE GIRL GO OR I'LL BASH YOU INTO NEXT WEEK!"

The demons looked over to where the voice was and saw a figure standing
there.

The figure advanced and out stepped an asian youth wearing a dirty , travel-stained , yellow shirt and green pants. He also had a tiger-striped bandanna and a backpack. He lifted up a red bamboo umbrella and shook it at the demons.

The demons looked at the youth , looked at the umbrella , then back at the youth again. They just stared at him. Then they laughed.

The demon leader laughed and said , "What do you think you can do against us with that puny umbrella human?"

The youth looked at the demon and then reached up and took off his bandanna which had another one beaneath and took that one and another and another off.

He then twirled the bandannas in his hand and said , "Oh maybe something like this.". Then he let the bandannas go and they cut through the chains.

Buffybot blinked at this and was very confused.

(How did he do that?) , she thought.

The she realized she was free. (Time to kick some demons asses ... hard!)

The demons realzied she was free and the leader roared in anger.

"Get her!" , he yelled.

The strange man jumped into the circle of demons and stood beside Buffybot.

"Are you okay miss?" , he asked while keeping and eye on the demons and gripping his umbrella combat-ready.

"Some of my systems are damaged and some are offline but I can still fight." , Buffybot said.

"Systems?" , asked Ryoga. "Are you some type of machine?"

"Yes." , said Buffybot. "I am a machine. My purpose is to slay demons."

"This doesn't look like Terra II." , muttered Ryoga. Then he said , "I suggest we fight back to back."

"By the way , I'm Ryoga Hibiki." , he said.

"Buffy." , Buffybot told him.

They assumed a back to back position and waited for the demons to attack them.

The demons attacked and Ryoga and Buffybot fought them.

"BAKSAI TENKETSU!" , shouted Ryoga as he stabbed the ground with his umbrella.

The ground cracked and the crack went to the demon leaders motorcylce and then the ground there exploded.

He then yelled , "SHI SHI HOKODAN!" and launched a ball of green energy at the leader demon.

The leader yelled as the ball energy hit him and fell down.

He then got up painfully and groaned.

Then he yelled , "Look out! The boy's a Ki user! Spread out!"

After a short battle Ryoga and Buffybot are standing over the bodies of the demons. Buffybot is injured badly and loosing power fast. Suddenly some other people show up there.

"Ryoga!" , yelled a young man. "Hurry up or you're going to miss the slide!"

"Quinn!" , yelled Ryoga. "There's an injured bot girl here!"

Quinn came running over to where Ryoga and Buffybot were and looked down at the demons and asked , "Ryoga what the hell have you gotten yourself into this time , are these things demons?"

"Yeah Quinn , they are demons." , sais Ryoga. "They almost this girl bot here. She's injured badly and needs help Quinn."

Quinn looked at Buffybot who was standing there and swaying back and forth from her power loss.

Buffybot looked at Quinn with a pleading expression on her face and said , "Please strange man. Help me. I don't want to die."

Quinn got a serious look on his face and said , "Don't worry. You won't. I won't let that happen."
