You might want to move on to the second draft. Some, but not all, of the
issues you raised were dealt with there.

Tee hee! Problem is, 9-meter band radio is going to have a *terrible*
data rate unless she can do some really fancy compression/encoding
tricks.
And even then, there would have to be an identically-rigged server on the
other end for her to connect to.
It's a cute scene, though, and perfectly Amy. Heh.

The next draft changes that to subspace. The problem of finding a server
at the other end still exists though. If she can't do that, perhaps she
can at least make comumicators for the priestesses.

Uh.. actually, no need. There's an entire circuit of ham radio
operators
who have two-way radio modems. I'd actually considered testing for a license in
my desperation due to the poor state of telecommunications out here in rural
NE Colorado. Fortunately, things changed for the better well before I was
forced
to such an extreme. But the system still exists, is still up and running, and
anyone's welcome to join in. You can connect right through it to the 'Net,
the last
time I'd checked into it. It's piss-slow compared to a 56K connection, but
hey,
1200 baud is better than no baud at all...
