The idea sounds good to me.  I know I've been in an updating mood as of
late and this is one of the most effective ways to distro the newer
versions.  You have my vote in favor.

Pre-empting this before it gets any further, I am....

Jeff, if you want a list admin response on the question -- in which case
you should've directed it to ffml-admins@anifics.com rather than the
list at large -- what I can tell you is that flood posting is allowed
but strongly discouraged. Posting 1.8Mb of back fanfic won't get you
tempbanned, but it will likely induce a lot of people to start deleting
your posts unread. Posting the new material a little at a time and
giving a web or FTP address at which the back chapters may be found
along with an offer to email them privately upon (private email) request
is a far preferable way of handling this sort of situation.

If you want opinions from the list at large, that's fine, but in that
case as with any sort of opinion survey, you should have included a
reminder to send replies privately to you, as Rob should've done. There
are about 1800 addresses actively subscribed to the list; if even a
fraction of those posted a response on this to the list, the resulting
traffic would overwhelm any actual discussion of fics that *have* been
posted.
