"Patamon, I'm very disappointed in you." The wing/ears of the pig-
like Digimon drooped by its side as it was scolded.

"Hi, guys," Yolei walked up to TK, Hikari, Cody, Davis, Patamon,
Gatomon and Upamon with Poromon by her side, "What's going on?"

Hikari turned to her. "Oh hi, Yolei. TK's just scolding Patamon
about a trick he played on the other Digimon."

"You digivolve into Angemon, for crying out loud. A holy Digimon.
How could you do this sort of thing?"

     "Trick? What trick?" Yolei asked.

"Apparently, Patamon's been teaching the our Digimon about how
things work in our world, seeing as how he was here before during
Myotismon's invasion," Cody told her, "and he decided that it would be
funny to spin some tales about our world. Like television for example."

Yolei blinked as she thought about it. Understanding began to dawn
on her. "Oh now I get it. That explains Poromon's behaviour last
night."

Poromon did her best to hide her blush under her wings.

"We were watching television when she asked me how some people
could be have so many names and lives and on which channel our lives
could be found on."

"We were watching some of the serials on TV and there was this
handsome actor who acted in all of them. Yolei is a die-hard fan of -"
Poromon's words were cut-off by Yolei's hand over her beak.

"Shhh. they don't have to know that." Yolei turned to the others.
"So what exactly did Patamon tell them to bring this on?"

Gatomon stifled her giggles as she explained. "He didn't really
lie. The news had been on when he told them that what was shown on
television were events that had really happened in the world. We did
warn them that not everything shown on TV was true, Patamon just sort
of used animation as examples. They were the ones who had drawn
conclusions that only animated stuff was unreal."

Hikari turned to glare sternly at Gatomon. "Gatomon, I'm ashamed of
you. You should have corrected Patamon when you had the chance."

Cody nodded. "Fortunately, Upamon was not that nave and managed to
discern between fact and fiction on television. I learned of Patamon's
trick when he asked me explain what reality television was and whether
it was real or scripted."

"What's reality television? It's real, right." Poromon chirped.

Yolei thought for a moment how to explain it to Poromon how reality
television worked. How best to explain this? "I'll explain when we get
home." She decided with a sigh.

"I've already explained television fully to Poromon last night, so
the only one left would be Demiveemon, right?" Yolei turned to Davis.

"Relax, I already explained it to him."

Yolei breathed a sigh of relief. "Good, then there won't be any
problems."

Demiveemon bounded in at that moment.

"Davis, Davis," he cried excitedly, "where can we get one of those
digivices that let humans digivolve?"

"Humans? Digivolve?" Poromon asked, "humans can't digivolve."

"Yes they can, they showed it on television," Demiveemon insisted,
"Let me show you." He began to lead the others to the television.

"See, that human raises his special digivice and BAM. He digivolves
into Ultramon, the gigantic humanoid Mega-level digimon and pounds the
bad guys into pieces. And he's got so many special attacks too. I love
the Specium Beam. With him on our side, the Digimon Emperor wouldn't
stand a chance."

On the screen, a rerun of an old TV show was being shown.

Various groans erupted. Cody turned to Davis. "He's your Digimon.
You explain why we can't get Ultramon to help us fight."

Demiveemon's ears perked up at this. "Ultramon can't help us? Why
not?"

"Demiveemon, first off, that's not Ultramon. It's Ultraman. He's
not a Digimon. He's an alien from another galaxy. He can't come with us
to the Digital World because he's been charged with protecting the
Earth from space monsters and alien invaders." Davis explained matter-
of-factly.

The other Digidestined and their respective Digimon sweatdropped at
his explanation.

"Er. Davis, are you sure that's the explanation you want to give to
him?" TK whispered into his ear.

"Of course, it's the truth. It's the explanation that the Science
Patrol gave to me when I wrote in to them a couple of weeks ago."

Davis and Demiveemon were completely taken aback by the loud groans
from the others.

End

     C&C welcome.

Omake

     "ARGGHHH!"

In the M-78 galaxy, headquarters of the Ultra-Garrison, Commander
Zoffy looked up. It was rare that such cries of anguish could be heard
across the void between galaxies. The beings that had cried must be
truly in terrible pain.

"Did you hear that?" he asked Ultraman Ace next to him.

"Yes, do you want me to investigate?"

Zoffy nodded. "Yes, I believe that came from the Earth. Find a
suitable host there and do whatever's necessary to protect the planet."

"Roger." With that, Ultraman Ace flew off for the Earth.
