Rumiko Takahashi owns Ranma 1/2 and all characters within. Suing a poor man
for his money is a poor choice for a lawsuit.

"Some curses weren't bad," Ranma mused aloud as he watched his father,
now a panda, sleeping on his futon like a huge black-and-white bean bag
chair. "Oyaji's gotten use to his pretty quickly; I wonder if I could get
used to mine, too?" Absently, he brushed back his -- at the moment, her --
golden blonde hair over her shoulder before rising up, then padding over to
the outside window. Effortlessly, she hooked slender fingers into the
latching mechanisms, pushing them towards each other, and lifting up the pane
of glass, exposing the room to the outside world.
As well as to a guy wearing a ninja suit who was trying scale the side
of the house using a set of steel claws.
"Couldn't you just get a ladder? Faster, safer, and makes a hell of a
lot less noise."
The guy looked at her in surprise. "B-but I hear you push guys off
ladders!"
Ranma looked at the pseudo-ninja in wide-eyed aghast. "What?! Why
I'd never do such a thing! That's just... wrong!" She quickly followed up
with, "You poor boy, just get the ladder from the other side of the house and
climb on up before you hurt yourself!"
The guy quickly hopped off the wall -- he had only managed a few feet
on the climb, netting mostly huge grooves of wood ripped out of the structure
-- took off the steel claws attached to his feet, then raced around the
corner of the house. In a minute, he came back around toting a metal ladder.
Gleefully, he extended it out until it could reach the window sill and
planted it. Once that was done, he rapidly climbed up to face Ranma. "Wow,
that was easy. Now, how about some brownies, my-"
He didn't get much farther than that; Ranma had snapped out her leg,
slamming the heel of her foot into the guy's chest, which had the desired
effect of launching him off the ladder. As he plummetted towards the koi
pond, he cried out, "You said you didn't push guys off ladders--!"
"That's right; I kick them off, idiot!"
The ninja crashed into watery surface, then bobbed up like a fishing
lure, clearly unconscious. Breathing a sigh of relief, Ranma closed the
window and turned around to face her father.
       [Another suitor, brownie girl?]
       "Oh, shut up, oyaji."
[Just keep the noise down. I'm trying to sleep here.]
       "Whatever."
Nah, Ranma decided to himself, gathering together his bath stuff and a
change of clothes. There's no way I can get use to being an elf-girl. And
what the hell's with these guys and their obsession for me to bake them some
brownies anyway?

=END=

Well, I said I wouldn't do another one of these again, but hey, what the
hell? Everyone has an off day sometimes. Thanks to those that gave me
strong encouragement yesterday -- you know who you are -- to at least try
this sort of thing again, and wherein my mistake with the last experiment
lie. This one's a bit short by my accord, but I think it'll work out just
fine.

Words of wisdom for this life -- Don't rush what you enjoy most; take it slow
and easy.

See you later with (hopefully) the next chapter of Kasumi 1/2 (which really
does need a new title HINT HINT ^_^).

I dreamt I was a butterfly. I couldn't tell if I was dreaming. But when I
woke, I was I and not a butterfly. Was I dreaming that I was the butterfly,
or was the butterfly dreaming that it was me? Even if there's a difference
between the butterfly and I, the distinction isn't absolute. And there is no
relationship of cause and effect.
