Wish is something like:
I wish I would have a long and happy life and be
the best at
Martial Arts of Anyone, Anywhere, Anywhen and
marry someone
who would love me and be a wonderful wife and
would provide
me with all the delicious food we can eat and
never leave
me, like my mom did.
Being Ranma, I'd personally make the wish simpler
and
more careless, such as: "I wish that I had a fancee
like
you who could cook and could accept me as I am
instead
of what she wanted me to be."
Akane: No no... try this "I wish that one fiancee was like
you... could cook and accept me for who I am..."
Ukyo: That's why that wish would make ME his only
fiancee...
Ranma: Uh... let's try that again. *sigh* You know what I
really want? I wish that I had a fiancee like you
Belldandy. One that didn't fight over me all the time and
could accept me for who I am...oh yeah, and cook real well
too!
One: it covers all that, plus has the story
advantage of
accidentally wishing Belldandy to be his fiancee.
The
Ultimate Force wouldn't force either of them to love
one
another, but would act against cercumstances that
would interfere with either the engagement or the
potential growth of natural love.
O_o indeed...
Two: This is Ranma, alone with a Goddess, without
any
help to phraze his wish "just so." No one else will
be around
when Belldandy shows up to grant him a wish, as
that's the
way the Goddess Relief Office works. After all,
given the
potential for third parties to interfere with
someone's wish,
they take care to prevent that from happening.
Maybe in the OMG uni, but in the Ranma uni... that could
be hard. The Ultimate Force is going to be working
overtime... Peorth is going to need a vacation after this
one. heh!
Three: Part of Keichi's backstory with Belldandy
should be
transfered to Beldandy, so that it was Ranma and not
Keichi who made the childhood promice to Belldandy.
Keichi can instead, have the backstory of having >
had a relationship with Kasumi at some point in the > past
before he started going to NTT, one which could > have
been kept active through letters.
Why a backstory between Keiichi and Kasumi? Do you even
really need it?
The Ranma/Belldandy one is a good idea.
In a quiet corner of Hikarigaoka Park the Saotome family
has gone out for a little picnic. Nadoka finds a break in
the most of the cooking with Genma working hard at
lighting the grill for some barbecue. "Come on son, help
your old father out by bringing over some charcoal," Genma
calls out to chibi-Ranma who is trying to climb one of the
many cherry trees. "Ok, pop, coming...," replied Ranma
who continues to play as kids do. Walking over to the
tree that chibi-Ranma has been climbing Nadoka calls up to
Ranma, "Ranma-kun, if you hurry and help your father, you
can play all you want until lunch is ready." "Ok, mom!"
Ranma shouts out as he hops down from the tree. After
bringing the bag of charcoal and starter fluid, Genma
dismisses Ranma to go play while he continues to work on
lunch.
Ranma sees a dragonfly that he chases off to an empty
corner of the park. Concentrating on catching the
dragonfly he tumbles into a litle girl who had been
playing in front of him. "Sorry about that. I didn't
notice you sitting there." As she looks up at Ranma he
notices some markings on her face. "Are you...what are
those?" She laughs lightly "Those mark me as a goddess in
training." Ranma grins at hearing this. "Really? Well,
I'm Ranma Saotome and I'm training to be the greatest
martial artist ever!" (insert some more conversation that
I am too lazy to write right now. SOme kind of scary to a
child plot device pops up to which Ranma scares it off.)
"Don't worr Bell-chan, I'll protect you. " "Thank you
Ranma." "heh... no problem for a martial artist. On my
honor, I'll always protect you Bell-chan." "Really
Ranma?" "Of course... we're friends aren't we?."
"Yes...forever?" "Sure." "Promise?" "Uh huh..." "Then
let's shake on it... friends forever."
Or something like that...
Soun wouldn't interfere with the Kasumi + Keichi
match due
to the availability of two other daughters to marry
Ranma to.
At least not until Ranma started to seriously favor
Belldandy,
which could give Soun the idea that Kasumi would be
the
best daughter to lure Ranma away from the foreign
girl.
But what is the necessity of a Keiichi/Kasumi match...much
less even including him in this? What purpose will he
serve?
