Hmm, reminds me of that fic by Jared Ornstead whose title I can't
remember, where he has his SI character, Jared Saotome, inserted in the
Eva world as Shinji, and he acts a bit like that.
I remember seeing it on Studio Aesir, but cannot find it or reference to
it anywhere else.
"Uh, hold on a moment..." Misato hit the 'mute' button,
and was talking to someone offscreen as Shinji got up.
The sound came back on. "Sorry, Shinji, no flaming sword,
but there's a rifle scaled for you about 200 meters to your left."
Oh, I'm sure that the Lance of Longinus could make it look like a giant
flaming sword if it's wielder wanted it to :)
