Highly localized radiation? Presumably this is the "Burn"
mentioned in chapter 2, but what kind of weapon did this?
Would knowing that a certain film released in 1954 was originally to
be called "G", which was short for "Giant", clarify matters?
You sure it was short for "Giant?" Although he certainly is gigantic,
I've never heard that used as his name :)
Per what I've read about the film, it was originally going to be called "G",
for Giant -- though I don't know as the creature in the film would ever have
been called that -- but then the film-makers got the idea to name him after a
fellow working in the studio, who was called "Gorilla-Whale".
Or, for the handful of people on the list who haven't figured it out yet:
Gojira.
And would his footprints be radioactive? You could of course make a
case for it either way, and obviously you've chosen "yes," for the sake
of plot, but is there a rationale?
*He's* certainly radioactive, in the first film, so ...
A perhaps more important question is, why isn't there a *trail* of such
footprints?
There is. The footprint marks where he stood for a while.
The largest one, of course, is where Fuji-zan used to be.
