Hi, all.

Under advisement of Sairu, I am reposting this here to clear something up.

Argh. This is going to haunt me for life, isn't it?

The sequence map for these tales is as follows:

/Two Sides of the Coin (in two parts)
|
+--/Bie Liao (Bie Liao part 1)
| +--/Dare Mo (same text, now Bie Liao part 2)
|
+--/Misuteru
   |
   +--/Ghost of Curses Past
   |
   +--/Ranmei

Considering its subsumed title, Dare Mo (Nobody) might have
originally been written as a sequel to Misuteru (where "Nobody"
is the third and final try at a signature). That's what I assumed
when I began work on Ranmei, well before I found Benares' page.

NO. I can assure you of that. I hadn't even read Dare Mo when I wrote
Misuteru, but I know it was written first. Misuteru was the result of
reading "Two Sides of the Coin" striaght through while I was feeling
particularly depressed. This, I felt, was pretty much how everything could
go wrong in a 'split' scenario.

I've tried several times to write a follow-up to that story, but since
then,
I have failed to capture the proper emotions in the text.

I do hope to one day write my own version of 'what happen next,' but until
then, I'm glad to see that someone still remembers Misuteru.

Thank you,

Jason Drozd, AKA Jryu

Geez... I made the mistake of posting something on my father's computer ONCE
while home from college, and it STILL haunts me... and this was years ago. I
don't think that e-mail address even exists anymore...

Oh, well.

That said, I shall now retire back to lurkdom, until something rouses me
again.

Jryu
