Well, there are some interesting ideas here, and the writing was
competent.

One thing....Given that this Ranma has spent a fair amount of time
doing things *other* than training in Anything-Goes, and Akane is
supposedly close to her manga self, the gap between their martial
arts abilities should be considerably narrower than you have Ranma
estimating.

Two reasons why this would be good for your story:

1) This Ranma's main character flaw seems to be smugness, and he
needs to be taken down a peg.

2) As it stands, Akane seems to be in the story only to emphasize how
useless she is, fit only for humiliation and condescension.  Making a
better-than-expected showing will help correct that.
