Well it seems that "supervillains" with kids are rare and
the woman turned out to be a reporter.

I talked to her for a while, I described some of my life.
She started to smile about half way through my stories from
Smallville. I offered to demonstrate some of my abilities. I
held out my hand and formed a Chi ball. It looked like a
glowing transparent glass globe. She still had trouble
believing most of the story but that shook her up a bit.
After I saw her reaction to the Nekoken training, I edited
out most of Oyaji's grosser mistakes, she turned kind of
green during the telling and a much darker shade after she
leaned over and saw the scars. Shucks most people don't even
see them, they overlap so much they resemble ordinary skin
from any distance. She got really mad at Oyaji, so much so,
that she went and reported the story to the Sergeant. Who
added it to the list of charges, I knew it wouldn't do any
good except to make her feel better. What Judge would
believe a twelve year old boy about events that happened
when he was five and six.

After a while, she started telling me about her life. how
her boyfriend was the slowest guy in town. She said he was
late for almost everything, even when he ate. I couldn't
understand that, I mean food is IMPORTANT!

I complained "That it is extremely boring to just sit here,
while they traced down what to do with me. I had been
sitting here since about a hour after they arrested Oyaji.
That is over six hours and I am not even allowed to
exercise."
She asked "What did he do exactly?"
I replied "He tried to steal some liquor, from a state
store, some food from a grocery and some new camping gear
from a sporting goods store."
"Then what happened?"
"Red, err the Flash stopped him. Oyaji fought back with his
Martial Arts but the Flash got him tied up in some rope.
Which Oyaji slashed open. Then the Flash tied him up with
some cable. So Oyaji tried to do some odd technique and
grabbed a towel. Then the Flash hit him over two thousand
times and knocked him out."
She sort of shrieked " How do you know it was over two
thousand times?"
"I lost count after the first two thousand. His hands were
moving so fast they were beginning to blur."
 "You could see him move!"
" Well not when I first came to Central City but after
enough speed training, I could see most of what he did. I
was rather disappointed that he relied on his power so much.
He had almost no real skill in the Art."
" WOW!"

"Listen my boy friend is going to take my nephew on a tour
of the police station, finishing up with the lab he works
in. Would you like to join them? "
"Lady if you can get me out of this room for a while, I'd
love too. I'll give my word to return and not try to escape
during the tour."
"Call me Iris."
" OK Iris-san"

"Barry, this is Ranma Saotome. Ranma could I talk to him
alone for a minute?"

"OK Ranma, this is Wally West. Wally this is Ranma Saotome."

They tour the entire building, as they pass the cells.

Genma cries out " Why haven't you gotten me out of here,
yet. Are you so honorless as to leave your father in jail,
when you could smash the doors and get me out. Oh I have an
honorless Girly boy for a son."

Ranma just looks at him. Then turns his back and walks out
of the room.

Barry and Wally are staring at him. Wally asks "What was
that all about?"

"Ahh It is one of his favorite ways to try to manipulate me,
He first tries to make me think breaking him out of jail is
the honorable thing to do under Bushido.
"Then he insults for not jumping right up and doing it. His
favorite insult is to call me a girl. After dealing with the
Amazons, I can't consider that to be as much of an insult as
I used to."

" You couldn't really do that... Could you?"

"Sure wouldn't take about a minute. Course I figure Red err
the Flash would take about a minute to put him back.
Probably with a lot of pain added from the fight. Also It
just isn't right. A Samurai is supposed to accept things
like this, not whine about them Course pop isn't much of a
Samurai, though he does talk a good game of it."

"Why do you call him Red" asked Barry.

"Well when I first saw him all I could see was a blur of
Red. It wasn't until after I could see him clearly, that I
first heard his name."

The tour continues, until the last stop. Barry's Lab in the
top of the building. It is a fairly normal police lab. Xray
machines, Microscopes, dozens of filing cabinets, lots of
other scientific equipment. A bookcase full of chemicals
next to the window.

The boys go form end of the room to the other, basically
sticking together and asking Barry what everything is.

Then suddenly there is a bright light and a loud roar as the
chemicals   are splashed over both boys by a lightning bolt.

"Wally, Ranma are you all right?" yelled a confused and
somewhat frightened Barry Allen.

"I'm fine"
"Me Too"

Barry dries them off and gets them each some clean clothes
to wear.

"Boys, I have to leave for a few minutes, but the Flash is
in the next room and wants to talk to you." comments Barry

The boys move into the other room. Sure enough the Flash is
there. It is a room with only one door and no windows.

"Wally would you run over to me as fast as you can?"

"OK why" Then Wally runs at superspeed to the Flash.

He turns to Ranma but before he can say anything, the
Sergeant knocks on the door.
"Ranma you have to come now. We found you mother and she has
arranged for you to fly back to Japan but to make the
flight, you'll have to leave now. At that we'll have to have
a squad car run over with a special run with the lights
flashin.

The end of chapter one. Part one Reflections on a Chair,
deals with the changes in Ranma's history. Part two deals
with the birth of Kid Flash ( Wally West ) . Chapter two
will be set after this and will deal with a general history
of Ranma for the next five years and to a lessor extant the
world. It will probably be a while before I can get it
written.

This is set in a near duplicate of Earth one. To be precise,
it is set before it was called that. Before Flash of Two
Worlds happened. Superboy grew up and changed his name to
Superman and moved to Metropolis about this time. Princess
Diana is competing for a chance to come to man's world. Hal
Jordan has had a power ring for less than a month. Great
things are happening. Now the exact sequence of events is
slightly different, from the official comics history, as too
who got their powers first and who later. However the era is
generally correct.

Oh yeah, if you are wondering, no there are no Jhusenkyo
curses yet. This Ranma is smart enough to listen to Cologne.
Genma will be in America for a few years, in Jail. The
golden crystal absorbed the magical, Bad Luck to be
Happosei's Heir, curse of bad luck. Ranma in learning
English learned to think a little before he spoke and he
learned a higher grade of English than he knew of Japanese.
Ranma's continuous use of Ki healing has prevented most of
the Brain Damage that Genma caused him in most worlds. What
it didn't prevent, it healed. It has also caused his Ki
levels to reach a level equivalent to a Sayajin and his Mana
level to reach that of a Sailorjin or in total he has as
much raw power as a Princess Serenity and it is growing
rapidly. At the beginning of this chapter he could probably
run faster than the speed of sound, if only for a short
distance.
