First off, I've been REALLY off on replying to me e-mails in a timely
manner.
Work isn't to blame; someone figured out a direct link to my muse,
and has tormented me with the creative urge nearly every free moment
I've had (and a great many more I haven't >_<).
But, on the bright side, if I'm not getting back to you right away,
I'm writing more. ;)

Ooooookay.
Don't know a lot about Golden Boy (apart from what I learned in, ahem, a
little story called "Process of Elimination -- you may have heard of it),
so I can't comment on the GB background to this. Apart from that ...
Hehe! Some other people have commented on this, and not known much
about Goldenboy, so I'll link this as a general reference for what
Goldenboy is about.

If for some reason that link doesn't work, a quick non-spoiler rundown:
Goldenboy is a series that follows the exploits of Kintaro Oe, a man
in his young twenties as he rides his bike across Japan, searching
for ever more knowledge and refinement to perfect his mental and
physical skills. He left college after earning enough credits from
the University of Toyko for his law degree (but apparently never
bothered to collect it!). He has a habit of carrying around little
notebooks, in which he writes down everything he ever learns. From
how to code, to useful tidbits for every day life, along the lines
of: "The human head is not designed to turn 180 degrees. I tried it
today. It hurt."
The series is definately worth at least renting, if you can find a
copy, but be warned that it's more than a little risque. I
especially recomend episode five (or six), which is the Bicycle Race
episode and the direct inspiration for that little scene towards
the end of Process of Elimination involving Kintaro Oe and
Maintainer Shiname.
What can I say? Looks like the start of another lunatic ride. Looking
forward to it. :)
Thank you very much. ^_^
A couple of minor typos that jumped out at me as I read:
Motoko lay on
her stomach, with Ranma laying atop her on her back, one leg folded
carefully up as though to catch something
Very common mistake. Unless Ranma was producing eggs, she was "lying,"
not "laying." (On the other hand, "lay" is correct for Motoko.)
Natch. A new grammar rule to be learned. Thank you kindly. ;)
"Uh, you're athsmatic?" he asked, fidgeting nervously with the pages
of his notebook.
asthmatic?"
Indeed. Don't have the condidtion, but nearly everyone I associate
does. Hmm. That didn't read the way I meant it to....
Thanks for the catches, Mr. MacSpon. :)
Cheers,
Angus
