Sorry it took so long to get back to this. I do want private replies to
the question below; if anyone wants a general summary of any results,
mail me in private for those as well.

There ya go; a tiny lick of Shampoo-bashing (well, whether
yours had it or not, I figured *I*d better make it obvious
here), liberal use of semi-colons, and a title that doesn't
quite make sense - at least not at first blush. Hope you're
not offended, Nick, and maybe a little amused; that's all I ask.
If this is intended to suggest that Nick's title didn't make
sense at first blush, then I have to disagree completely.
My first reaction, on reading the title "No Dominion", was:
"Oh, no, somebody's going to die, or already dead."
After a moment's reflection, I realized that, given the ENTIRE
line from which Nick's title is taken, "Death shall have no
dominion", that was not necessarily a cause for concern.
and, upon reading the story, the title seemed quite apropos.
What can I say? I like Dylan Thomas' poetry. Yeah, it seems like he
was on crack sometimes but, when he was on his game, he produced some
incredible stuff.
This brings to mind a question. What sort of reading and lit background
does everyone have here? My guess is that most everyone here has had
*some*, but likely a rather odd and esoteric collection. I avoided a
lot of high-school literature, and read more philosophy and history;
however, I did pick up what had been highly-recommended to me. What
sort of work would you pick up and say, "This is the ultimate in the
written word"? What did you absolutely hate, but had to read because
some sadistic English lit teacher adored its symbolism?
Private replies only, please.
