Hi, I'm Kinda new to this list (Though I have been lurking for a while) I
have to say that I can see the points on both sides of this argument. But I
have seen soom people put Shampoo OOC but I don't believe that the scenario
that you are talking about is all that OOC. I think that in a story you must
also understand that things happen for a reason. If a story is being told
that did not happen in real life then It is ALL contrived, If the author
feels at the time that the story is being written that the character in
question can and will act that way then that is how that character will act
in a story. And I can see Ranma beating the crap out of even Shampoo if
someone he cares about is in danger from Shampoo, Or I can see Shampoo trying
to Kill someone to get Ranma, I can just as easily see Shampoo giving up on
Ranma. The truth is we don't know how these characters would act if Takahashi
wrote the story. But these stories are being written because someone wants to
explore an Idea. And even the cliches are used in these Ideas. But arguing
about it is just gonna get everyone mad at each other. So can we Agree to
disagree and Leave it at that?
