I had hoped that Matt Lewis would step in to deal with this situation.
Having posted in the thread myself, and having had my own issues with
both DB's criticisms and Nick's, er, counter-criticisms, I'm hardly in a
position to be objective here. But I don't think this can wait.

Personal bickering has no place on the FFML. You all can attack or
defend a fanfic or someone else's views on a fanfic until the proverbial
cows come home. But when the subject moves away from the fic to insults
against each other -- which not everybody has done, but some people on
both sides of the argument *have* -- you know who you are -- take it off
the list. To do otherwise is unprofessional, not to mention contrary to
the FAQ.

Considering my above mentioned conflict of interest on this, I'm not
going to take action on any of the posters up until now. Matt may decide
to do that, if and when he is able to take charge of the situation. But
I will from this point on ban with extreme prejudice anyone on any side
of this issue who posts a personal attack on someone else.

With the above understood, please note that discussion of this fic is
NOT banned, nor is discussion of the points raised by DB.
