Thank you for your insightful C&C.  I'm not going to respond point by point
because I need to spend more time thinking about them.  They are on a
higher literary level than I used to thinking.  :-)

However, I do appreciate your suggestions and criticisms.  I don't know yet
if I will use them in this story, but I will keep them in mind next time.
