Fantastic story, of course, but...
As much as I'm willing to suspend my disbelief, there's a minor plot
hole ... Since Ed has scanned the mimetic holo cure from Mihoshi's rear,
why not simply send that copy to the group that wants to see it?
Also, about the flaw in Mihoshi'a 'enhancements' ... she acts the way
she does *all* the time... and afaics, in most of the original story,
she doesn't experience much "extraordinary exertions, injuries, or, for
that matter, elevated levels of exposure to ultraviolet radiation"...
so, obviously there's got to be another reason for her personality.
Perhaps in that 'take your kids to work day' incedent, she was effected
by something, or multiple somethings?
She isn't merely a ditz... she's an *inspired* ditz :) Besides her
fantastic luck/intuition, she's got remarkable powers of observation.
Now if only she was smart enough to *understand* what she's observing :)
Sherlock Holmes did all his footwork himself, since he could observe
things that the police would overlook... Mihoshi's got enough talent in
that area that she *could* do a satisfactory job of observing for the
master slueth... she just hasn't the brains be able to draw any useful
conclusions from her observations.
