That seen I don't recall.  Does Peorth show up
again?

Perhaps you've only read the Dark Horse version? In
it, I think Peorth says "are they gay?" This misses
the clear connotation in the original Japanese.
Perhaps the English translators didn't want Peorth to
seem naive, but they missed making her seem
otherworldly at the same time. 

The Japanese is pretty clear. The first time I saw an
elephant in real life I didn't say "Is that what they
call an elephant?" because I'd seen pictures and
basically already knew a lot about elephants. Now, if
I had only heard of elephants in theory, never seen a
picture, only had a vague description, THEN I would
say "Is that what they call an elephant?" the first
time I saw one. The nuance is subtle, but clear -
especially when you throw in all Fujishima's other
hints about sexual orientation in AMG. This isn't my
slant on things, it's Fujishima's.

Hell is likely straight too, if Mara's reaction to
Megumi's cry of "Rape!" is any indication.

That scene I do remember.  Mara's reaction was
something along the lines of "Well, that wasn't what
I was planning, but you are kind of cute...."

You're quoting out of context. The relevant parts
(using Edward Chang's translation):

Mara then sealed the contract with a bite to Megumi's
neck, vampire style. 

So I don't know how you can draw the above
conclusion.
