Final Fantasy:
Gaiden
Chapter 2-Dazed and Confuses
(Tifa hears the dial tone and looks confused)
Tifa:I died in a accident?....Shin-Ra Police? What the hell?...
(Her confusion is snapped by a Helicopter. She looks up as does the rest of
the group)
Yuna: A metal flying creature?
Terra:Powered by coal?
Garnet: Powered by Mist?
Rinoa:...
(Tifa sees the helicopter land and sees Scarlet, a few years older but
dressed more business-like this time, getting off the helicopter and walks
over to the group)
Tifa:....(whispering)be careful..she can be tricky...
(The group nods)
Scarlet: Who might you be?
Tifa: I'm a martial artist that likes to practice here.
Scarlet: What is your name? Do you know why the Shin-Ra soldiers attacked
you?
Tifa:Name is...(thinking, better get quick about it girl)...Solaja..and no,
I do not why the soldiers attacked here.
Scarlet: Well, you are trespassing on Shin-Ra Property. This area is off
limits since we have sensitive issues here.
Tifa aka Solaja:Ahh..I see, well, might as well get going. I promise that I
won't trespass next time.
(Tifa looks over the group and tells Garnet to do a spell)
Garnet:Dang it...I don't know any black magic spells.
Terra: I do..if you call this black magic.
(Terra transforms herself into her esper form and covers the group with an
ice covering. Scarlet sees her and tells her soldiers to fire)
Scarlet: Get that thing!
(Tifa, in the confusion, knee drops Scarlet in the gut)
Tifa: We got to get the hell away from here...shit!
(Tifa feels a hard left coming from Scarlet and hits her on the chin,
reeling her back.)
Scarlet: You Bitch!
(Tifa gets up slowly, her left hand clutched into a fist and strikes Scarlet
back, sending her reeling)
(Terra, uses an Ice spell, and throws it into an incoming soldier. Garnet
knifes one soldier, while Yuna begins her summoning spell. Rinoa luanches
her Pinwheel weapon at the soldiers, scoring major damage, but doesn't see a
boot kicking her in the mid-section)
Rinoa: Ouch, that hurt! That does it...Thunder!
(Rinoa looks up to the sky but nothing happens) What the hell?
Garnet: I can't summon either and I can't cast curative magic on this world.
What is going on?
(Terra spent, becomes human again and starts to do some chanting)
Terra: I summon thee...Ramuh....Ooohh..
(Terra gets knocked down by the butt of a rifle and lands on the dirt)
Yuna: I summon, Odin..destroyer of worlds....(Yuna begins her summoning
dance and accomplishes it, and everybody looks up in the sky, the sky
becoming black, seeing a huge figure riding on a eight-legged horse)
Tifa: What is it?(looks up at the sky and sees the figure throw a massive
spear towrds the ground)
Tifa: Oh Shit!
(Garnet, Rinoa and Yuna feel the blast but are protected by Yuna's Protect
magic spell. Tifa slowly gets up and sees the soldiers running, while
Scarlet is knocked out cold)
Tifa: we have to get the hell away from here.(picks up Terra's unconcious
body and heaves her onto her back) This isn't a safe place...and something
is going on that they don't want anybody to see.
(Tifa, Garnet and Yuna follow Tifa and escape into the fields)
Sometime later, in the town of Kalm.
Tifa: Wow..that was a fight. Yuna, how did you learn to summon him?
Yuna: It was a long quest that I learned how to summon.
Tifa: Quest? On your own world?
Yuna(nods):yes.
Garnet: I can summon too, since I'm a summoner and my heritage comes from an
advanced civilization located on the north continent of my world, Gaia. MY
Summoner's name is Sara. I'm originally from Maduin Sari.
Tifa: Interesting. I'm from Nibelheim..a town across the ocean from where we
are.
Yuna: I wonder what her story is...
Tifa: You mean the gren haired girl? I believe her name was Terra.
Garnet: Yeah..I never saw somebody transform like that, except for Kuja...
Tifa:Kuja?
(Garnet looks over to Tifa and explains her story to Yuna and Tifa)
Tifa: Wow...
Yuna:...
Garnet: Thank the gods that we defeated him though. My world is at peace
now. What about you, Yuna?
Yuna: I don't want to discuss it. I'm sorry, but it's too painful to
remember.
(Yuna in her mind's eye flashes the image of Tidus disappearing after
defeating Sin)
Garnet: I see...it's okay if you don't want to talk about it.
Yuna: Thank you. (out of the corner of her eye, she sees Terra slowly coming
about on the bed)
Terra: My head...man..who did this to me?
Tifa: A Shin-Ra Soldier. Yuna's spell got rid of him though.
Terra: I see. Well, I see we have made out of that situation alive; there is
a bigger threat though and I sensed it coming from the burning building.
Tifa: yeah, I kinda noticed that too. I'm going down there to investigate
tomorrow. This time, I'll be asking Scarlet the questions.
(Meanwhile, outside the new Shin-Ra HQ at Junon, in the President's officer,
Scarlet, still recovering her wounds, sneezes)
Scarlet:Ahh..choo!
(Back at Kalm, in the inn)
Tifa: Well, whatever it is, it can wait till tomorrow. I'm going to bed and
you guys should do the same.
Terra:I'll be at the bar.. I'll be coming later tonight.
Tifa:Okay.
(Tifa, Garnet and Yuna climb into their beds while Terra walks the stairway
down)

Preview of Next Chapter:
Terra does some surveying and spying amongst the town folk of Kalm. Yuna has
a disturbing dream and Garnet practices her attacks. Tifa does the same but
in the morning, she heads out to Midgar, to see what these new Shin-Ra are
up to. Next time on Final Fantasy:Gaiden, Chapter 3: Twist of Fate.
