I also forgot to mention Coleridge and his oft-quoted "willing
suspension of disbelief" (though I much prefer the second, and
altogether stranger, part of one of his other works). While this
concept has been misapplied very often, it's still worth keeping in
mind. This Ranma is not canon Ranma, and I very much doubt that this
Akane is canon Akane, either. These are not the characters I know, but
ones which are rather similar in certain ways. I am managing to
suspend my disbelief; were the problems confined to this, it would be
pretty easy. The sex contest was ludicrous, and nearly caused the fic
to fail for me. Canon Ranma has consistantly showed little more than
cluelessness in regards to sex, while he knows from his experiences in
Nerima that being a girl has more differences than what you do in the
bedroom. At the very least, I would have expected something like
"Clothes Make The..." in reverse, with Ranma agreeing to give Akane a
week to prove her point.

I am enjoying this fic, but only because I have lots of experience
suspending my disbelief, and I'm willing to do this moreso than
others. Improving the fic and adding tension would draw more readers,
I believe.
