| I'm surprised how few people caught that....

I caught it, I just chose not to comment on it.

| Well I'm sorry, Mr. Sommer, experience in the area is limited at
| best. Still, since it doesn't work, I need to change it. I just wish I
| knew where to begin.

I'm not so sure you need to change it. It's true that Misaki seems to
care
for her children a great deal, but as much the image of that child as
anything
else. She appears to have a set view of who her children are, and how they
should behave. What Sasami has become would be quite a shock to her,
and I can envision her acting in such a fashion... at least at first. Later
on
I would envision she would come to regret her actions, especially as she
spends more time around Sasami/Tsunami. Especially if she gets to see
how she acts around Ranma, I imagine that would open her eyes a bit.

So in essence I don't see the need to change it as you have written, but
I have hope enough for the future that reconciliation, and a return to love
might happen for them. Such things don't always happen unfortunately, but
there is not much that can be done about that if one of the parties is
unwilling. Even then it will probably be a long, arduous, and painfull
process,
but hopefully worthwhile in the long run.
