Believe it or not, this was another responsefic...though a response to
private email. I was wondering about the title, though: perhaps
"Playing Cat's Cradle With the Senshis' Love Lives"?  ^_^;

Ami pulled on her shirt and smoothed out her hair, trying to calm her
beating heart. "Mamo-chan...I...I don't want to get between you and
Usagi..."

Mamoru: That's all right. You don't have to be the middle of the sandwich.
I'll be more than happy to have you under me and Usagi on top.

Ami: <pouts> But *I* wanted to be on top!

Mamoru smiled, carefully wrapping his condom in a paper towel before
tossing it in the garbage. "Don't worry, Ami. No one but us needs to
know about this. I love her, but...there's more to life than sweets and
idle pleasure.

Usagi: You got that right. Why do you think I've been sleeping with Haruka
and Michiru? There's only so much lousy sex a girl can stand before she has
to seek attention from another source.

One would think Usagi would turn to more ice cream first, knowing her.
^_^;

Her heart was still racing when she reached the dressing rooms. She
disliked keeping a secret from Usagi, but the way Mamoru acted, she was
certain he would take a mistress eventually.

I'd say he's doing that right now.

Well, yeah. But see the rest of her thought.

Better that it be someone

Usagi knew and trusted, than to let his heart be ensnared by some woman
who might take Mamoru from them all.

Now that is some kind skewed logic there. Nice on the rationalization,
though.

Ami: I'm not trying to steal my friend's boyfriend, just because she has
someone I've come to like. No, really.

Besides, he did know how to please

a woman.

Usagi: Oh Ami. I really need to get Ruka and Michi to show you a good time
if you think Mamo-chan knows what he's doing.

Different strokes for different folks. ^_-

"Oh, hey, Ami." Makoto smiled, and her tone was friendly, but she did
not even look at the newcomer. Her eyes were instead drinking in
Minako's form from close range, as she carefully dusted the senshi of
love's skin with metallic flakes.

Trying to make her a better conductor for electric shocks, eh? :)

Her capacitance is more important than the conductance here. But I
think the fic works better if I stay away from the equations.  ^_^;

Makoto concentrated, and Ami could see Minako's hair fluff up a bit as
her skin became charged with static electricity.

Oh, so I was right.

Mina: Yooou light up my liiife...

  When Makoto let go a

few seconds later, Minako glanced at the mirrors, primping and pouting
and posing to shift the flakes around her. Various bits of metal
sparked a bit as she moved, almost making her seem cloaked in a weak
field of raw dazzle. Makoto stared, jaw slack. "You're...so...cool!"

"Yeah, and it doesn't even sting that much.

Heh. She's a slave to fashion. It's not if you feel good. It's if you look
good. That's all that matters.

True. But dielectric breakdown of the skin tends to make you look *and*
feel bad...unless you're going for the bloody corpse look, in which case
it just makes you feel bad. (I actually had cause to read charts about
just how damaging this would be, in course of some academic research
some years ago. Sustained exposure to sufficiently high electric
current over a long enough period will effectively dissolve skin, at
least where the current travels. One way around this is to keep the
current low enough...but for most applications, there are far superior
alternatives to using the skin as a conductor.)

The concert was a raging success, as predicted

by Setsuna. But her predictions were always correct.

Of course. She bought the Outers' mansion with her lottery winnings.

 While Rei and Minako

did not win the most applause, their songs of unrequited love left few
dry eyes in the house. At the end of each act, Minako had arranged the
choreography so that Minako

'she' would be better there.

I think you're right. Will change. (I think I'll actually send this
one to RAAC, so there is a "will" here.)

When the concert was over, Rei seemed too nervous to stick around. She
fled the venue before Minako could speak to her, leaving Minako with an
open, questing heart and lots of fanboys. As it turned out, one of them
would consider himself very lucky that night, but to Minako, the
experience was utterly hollow.

Heh. Nice transition from girl to girl.

It just seemed a nice place to end Mina's scene. ^_^

No! Her mostly resolved feelings for Mamoru were bad enough, but to
feel the same fires, only more intense, for Usagi?

But Usagi was having her own problems, trying to drive her impure thoughts
from those of having her way with Chibi-Usa...

Ne, I'd rather avoid the myriad opinions on what is good vs. what is bad
to do with Chibi-Usa. That is, I'm also going to release this to AFSM,
with their semi-infamous CUTE vs. CURE battles over whether the Pink One
is an angel or a devil...

His life was the pits. Rejected from university, disowned by his family
and ordered to take a new name to dissociate himself from them,
dishonored in every way imaginable - even the yakuza would not have him.
He had intended to blow up all of Tokyo, killing himself and those who
made him miserable - then those lovers walked by. What were their
names? Usagi? Mamoru? He could *feel* the love radiating from them
just by the way they held hands. And he knew, immediately, what a shame
it would be to destroy such a perfect love - so, the nameless one merely
committed suicide instead.

Hmm. Interesting bit of a throw in there. Surprised you didn't jump to Usagi
instead. On the other hand, the switch definitely works. Nice job.

That is jumping to Usagi, actually. But, what's to say from Usagi's
point of view? There's just pure, recognized love there...so, use it to
spice up someone else's life.
